Used to live there but haven’t been back in years. If we end up there, are there good bars in the neighborhoods/area near the stadium for pre game drinking and meals?

I dont think the sec has a contract with the Indy bowl anymore anyway. If we get to 6 we are going bham or music city

Don't think you have to worry about LSU making a bowl game.

No sir. I leave here now and there is nothing around the stadium.

However, Bossier 'downtown' has a few cool breweries and bars that are nice. Names are Frozen Pirogue, Flying Heart, BeauxJax Crafthouse.

Casinos are always fun to hit up for out of town folks (Horseshoe, El Dorado, Margaritaville are the best 3)

Nothing near the stadium unfortunately.

We probably won’t make a bowl

But if we do, it won’t be Independence because Indy Bowl doesn’t have a tie-in with SEC anymore

You lived in Independence Stadium? Was it anything like the Baker Mayfield commercials?

Where would LSU get the other three wins from?

ULM, okay.

Who are the other two teams LSU can beat that would make us bowl eligible?

I’ll wait.

I think some of the posters have been a little harsh on their criticism of the I-Bowl.
It is true that there is no longer a reliable Michelin three star restaurant in or connected with the stadium. However, the are vending machines and fried chicken at some of the area gas stations, which, during cease fires in the Queensboro neighborhood, are quite serviceable.
Additionally, Mayor Perkins has made available a number of two and three bedroom pot-holes on the Greenwood Road near the stadium. For those interested in gambling, just getting to your cars and out of shooting range should suffice for even the most adventurist.

Holy hell - didn’t know the area around the stadium had gotten that bad.

The only things around the State Fairgrounds where the Independence Bowl is located are poverty & crime.
