The real reason this is a problem is in an interview after one of the selection shows, Rob Mullens cited the FPI when they were ranking the top 6. They need to throw that in the garbage where it belongs.

If this is true, then we need commentators talking about it until they openly state it's not relevant.
LSU left no doubt in either game, and still #3. That tells me the "formula" is useless.
