Imagine the Possibilities....Play Leavitt & Clark @ the Same Time!

Now before you race to downvote......Calm the Frick Down & THINK!
Imagine the creativity that Lane & Weiss could conjure on offense!!
Something needs to be done, changed NOW! I would love to see Sam have a breakout game, turn things around. But it's not reasonable or rational to expect (wish) that. And you should also consider that rather than a breakout, turn-aroud game - Leavitt could have a bad game. So while we are both hoping he has a great game, accept the fact that he will appear the same, and perhaps worse.
I say take change NOW because the reality is that Sam will likely not improve fast enough for LSU to make the playoffs. Is that what you want? Are you willing to sacrifice a season in HOPES he becomes your dynamo QB? What if he does'nt?! You will then say, too late, that something should have been done different, tried. But it will be too late.
I say give Landon Clark a chance. Bottom line is that Clark has looked perfect! No one can deny that. Consider his confidence, poise, smooth motion/style, very accurate passing. Give him relevant game time playing - 1 or 2 series. Pull him if he struggles. Keep playing him if he performs better than Leavitt. What is so hard, difficult in seeing the logic of that trial!?! Very, very Low Risk & possible Huge Rewards! What if it worked? If it does'nt you can always go back to what you were doing.
I'm dead serious about playing both Leavitt & Clark. Alternate them. Keep opponents guessing. Design different plays for each. And yes, even consider playing them both together - at the same time!
Something has to change - NOW. I hope Sam changes. Has a break-out game! But be prepared to do something - QUICK - if he does'nt! Else prepare for a disappointing season, and the very real fall-out that will result. You think these ideas are radical now, but will be a very sorry puppy latter, with a 7-4, 8-3 record.
I could be wrong, but I could be right. I'd like to find out, by trying something different that carries low risk, possible high reward!
And for the wishful Simpletons.....now go ahead & react-freak the frick out & mash downvote.

I thought before I downvoted without reading the rest. Rhythm is essential at QB. If Leavitt doesn’t play well, cut your ties and roll with Clark the rest of the game.

Tell me you don’t know football without telling me you don’t know football.
Here’s just one example; your idea of designing different plays is not remotely feasible. In practices, you practice certain plays each week that you’ve game planned for to use against specific opponents. You don’t have time in practice to rep everything so you rep the things you actually want to use. You want to split time with Leavitt and Clark which means neither gets the preparation that is needed and you want to use a variety of plays that the rest of the offense won’t have time to practice and master either. Effectively, no one on your offense, under that system will be adequately prepared to execute on Saturday.
This ain’t madden brother.

Adding up all of your downvotes across your post created may add up to the most of anyone on this site. Congrats.

They got 2 snaps on the goal line together vs Ole Miss. They had at least one together vs tech. Can't remember if they did it vs Clemson or not

Couldn't hurt, but probably won't help.

Every single report that came out of camp said that Leavitt struggled a little bit with his deep balls, but that Clark and Husan struggled with accuracy on pretty much every ball they threw. Even Kiffin alluded to the struggles without directly mentioning names with his "we'd be a defensive team" comments during spring. It was reported the entire spring and fall camp that if Sam couldn't start the season or goes down, that we'd be in trouble offensively.
his limited playing time has come against 2nd and 3rd string. Although he played decently last year at Elon, he was a very inaccurate passer. He completed just 56% of his passes last year against much lesser competition than what he'd be facing in the SEC.
Obviously, Sam needs to be able to throw the ball better but just because he's struggled doesn't mean that the backups are better. We've seen this time and time again at LSU. Nuss better than Jayden, MVB was better than unhealthy Nuss, etc etc and each time, we've been shown why the backup QB is the backup.
I don't think Clark is a bad QB, but I don't think he's ready to compete at this level. I'm not sure if Sam is even ready to compete in the SEC, or if he's just struggling because he missed all of spring and only got fall camp to work with the offense.

In my 46 years of watching college football, I have never seen that dumba$$ idea ever work.
“If you have two quarterbacks, you have no quarterbacks”.
“If you have two quarterbacks, you have no quarterbacks”.

Why not run the old Notre Dame Box offense with all three QBs in the backfield and give the Center the option on which QB to snap it to?..... the opposing defense and even your own offense wouldn't know who has the ball.

He faced less talented players but he also had less talented players. All of that washes out. A QB’s rushing stats should be taken with a grain of salt if it came at a lower level but not his passing stats.

Yep. It all comes back to practice time too. Only so many hours in the week for preparation and it’s typically better to have one guy as well prepared as possible than to have two guys only partially prepped. Only so many reps to go around.

You comment betrays you, identifies your range, and thus allows me to fairly, safely surmise that.......
Not on your best, most sober moments @ any time of the day have you ever possessed the ability, creativity that I have routinely, in my professional capacity and/or personal life....discovered, enacted, invented/created, solved for Fortune 100/500 companies, countless clients, organizations, entities.
Don't throw me any Bouquets; for it was not me but the One who Created me!

How about LSU in the National Championship Finals using Jordan Jefferson & Jarrett Lee!?!
And to obliterate your erroneous opinion even further:
It is an undeniable FACT that during LSU's 2011 National Championship run.....that it was specifically due to our Use & Play OF OUR 2ND STRING~"ALTERNATE" QUARTERBACK..... "Jarrett Lee"....that "bailed us out" & prevented the loss of numerous games!
Without using BOTH QB's - we would have NEVER won the games we did & reach the finals in New Orleans!!

What if they both practice the same game plan during the week in parallel?
