This route was terrible last night. Make sure you look at the map because some of the levee lots that used to be free are now paid for lots.

Lol. Traffic out of a full Dodger Stadium is nowhere near as bad as traffic out of a full Tiger Stadium.

As someone who lost their dad last year and has put a lot of things in perspective in that time, this is one of the best/wisest posts I’ve seen on here.

I had to double check and make sure I was still on the Rant.

I do this or park in the old Acacia fraternity lot (house is empty now) and take Dalrymple which is quick and easy esp compared to Highland, Nicholson, and River Rd. The U High lot is good too but i think Dalyrmple at State St is shut down around noon on game days so you have to go early and tailgate

It was pretty slow on river road but I’ve seen it worse.

The game is in 6 days. What do you expect to change? Just giving some tips that I do as I bring my boys to every game and deal with the same thing.

It’s almost like you completely ignored everything I said

Lots of back and forth in here, but good to keep perspective as one poster said.

With that said, I would avoid anything river road after the debacle on Saturday. They had a no fricking idea how to empty all the paid and free lots on Gourrier and it turned into a total shitshow.

If you park in Levee lot and go home via river road to Gardere/Bluebonnet you will not have an issue.

. Yep, what I always do is chill and listen to postgame. When Charlie come on 98.1 is when I get on the road and I have never had a issue. Most of the time traffic has died before that and I get going earlier

I’ve never let traffic deter me. But last year it took us 4 hours to get back to New Orleans after the Auburn game. I’d be lying if that doesn’t weigh in the back of my mind when I’m trying to decide whether to go to a game or not.

Just go and don't be in a rush to leave the area.

We always stay until after the alma mater and then follow the band back to the band hall. It's like a parade and lots of people do it. Granted, it's not as much fun after a loss, but it's still a good time. By the time we get back to the car, we've missed the initial rush.
