D1 is different for football and basketball. Football has like 125 teams, basketball has I think 355.

What schools do you consider Div. I?

Do you not know how Divisions in college sports work? You don’t just “consider” a school Division 1. They either are or they aren’t.

Did you just log onto an alter to double down? Because I can't believe there are two posters in a basketball thread this stupid.

ETA: my bad, it was you both times. Wow.

Only one of these players are from a Division I school.

I love it when a poster removes all doubt about his ignorance.

These dudes are arguing about who are the 364 D-I schools in basketball and how they all play in the NCAAT - and D-II can jump into playing in the NCAAT.

It's funny/interesting to witness.

OK. I just disagree that most schools the transfers come from would be on a level of the SEC, Big 12, Big Ten, ACC, and East. For LSU to improve, our players need to compete with schools other than “mid majors “.

3 years
98 games
45-53 (fewest wins among SEC teams)
14-40 in SEC play (fewest wins amongst SEC teams…not counting OU and Texas)
LSU, the ONLY SEC program to not go to the NCAA Tournament over the last three years.

You want people to be positive…DO SOMETHING POSITIVE!

A fair analysis of the team is that it won’t be a tournament team.

Go look at the 2026 championship odds on Fan Duel. We’re an abysmal 32nd on the list. So someone thinks we have a chance.

OK. I am sure that if LSU gets its transfers from schools other than the SEC, ACC, Big 12, etc., we will win championships.

It comes down to horrible coaching and a boring offense that he runs… recruiting never seems to work out….players seem to enter the transfer portal quickly….they see the hand writing on the wall and leave…

I hear you and you can build a good team through mid major transfers but teams who’ve done it have recruited certain types that fit their system who were also a certain level of player. We have no identity so we’re not fitting player to style and we haven’t upgraded the talent. What we’ve done is sign one good player to replace the one we lost and it won’t be enough.

Lots of MF'ers on here are sane "Realists" that don't have P&G pom poms shoved up their arse.

OP is a perfect example of a Pump Nut Cheerleader MA Eunuch that starts up the juvenile name calling theatrics when anybody posts an opinion that's not 100% pumped in from Sol. (The Sun) He's slacking though. The dude didn't call us MF'ers "Miserable."

That dude just compared Robert Miller to Tim Duncan lol. So if you pair that with Reed who we’re told is the next Joker there’s no way you shouldn’t win the national championship next season.

We will have a new coach after next season. This dude is not good enough of a coach or recruiter to make it in the SEC.

Isn't that one of the requirements for making the tournament?

Perhaps, certainly northwestern, northeastern wasn’t well known to me until I lived in New England. But that’s just me I suppose.
