I’m official a convert into the cult of Cheerio

Orgeron has stepped his game up on paper to position this team to take the big step into a true title contender.
He is doing work on the recruiting trail so far and added a coach that has excited the fan base. These recruits or Brady may not pan out but the program has a whole new level of excitement at this point so far.
This crazy bastard may end up going next level with a playoff berth. I seriously feel like Bama will be having a “come to Jesus” moment after they play LSU. O has this team primed for a special season this year with Burrow, Brady-Ensminger and Aranda all here. Plus the returning starters and so many potential impact freshman primed up and ready. Coach O will be there making sure they play inspired while turning the staff loose to do what they are here for and that is to outclass the other staffs.
Feels like 2011 but with the best leader at QB LSU has had since Rohan. I don’t see a position or unit that will be average or lower. Talent is here with the best Staff in the country potentially.
No excuse for Coach O this coming season and I actually feel like O is gonna have this team playing at a level we haven’t seen since that 2011 team. It’s happening!

Our best chance is losing to Bama, making the playoffs, and having someone else beat Bama on the opposite side of the bracket.

That's sad.
In your scenario, we'd probably be the ones to face Bama in the first round. We wouldn't be any higher than a 4 seed by not even playing in the conference championship.
Why don't we just beat them instead of hoping someone else does it for us?

Everything is in place. Really no point in bickering about it. Ed O has everything he needs and he’ll either deliver this year or he won’t. This is the put up or shut up year.

Winning in April doesn’t mean shite if you can’t win sept-nov and then close on these top guys if he does that he has won I’ll wait and see. Position of need lineman we need dominating lineman ! Right now yea he’s killing it recruiting but I’ll wait to see. Get us to a SEC title ! Haven’t been there since 2011

I agree with you 100%. This really could be a special season and set a precedent for the next few years. Unfortunately, even if this team makes the playoffs, 30% of the fan base will still hate Coach O.

You cannot convert until he beats Alabama or at least reels off an 11 & 1 season. Hell he hasn't even done a 10 & 2. Clemson can beat Alabama. Old Miss found a way to beat Alabam not once but twice. We can't be full CheeriO until he beats Alabam.
