The problem with the white helmets and the white pants is that the stripes on those don’t match the stripes on the white jerseys. They are using two uniform components that weren’t really designed to go with the other long-standing components: the jerseys.
And all-white uniforms look like stormtrooper outfits. Fine if you’re into Star Wars cosplay. Bland af for a football uniform.

If you watched LSU with your pops back in the day, a uniform change isn’t going to affect that memory. It’s still LSU.

While I agree you have to make concessions at a game to make it more entertaining for the younger crowds ie light shows and entertainment, LSU doesn’t need to be focused on gimmick uniforms and helmets.

3 games out of 12 isn’t an issue for one simple reason- we are literally the only team in the country that wears white as our default at home and on the road. If we aren’t ever going to have a road uniform (unless the home team decides to wear and alternate and forces us to change for a game), then it makes sense to mix in alternates for a few games. We do not need to wear the same uniform 11 or 12 games per year. Even the schools that some of you have named above do not wear one uniform all season.
We will always wear Gold-Purple-Gold for a game. Pick two of the others for a game each and it’s not the end of the world.

When we can’t be differentiated from the likes of East Carolina, Northwestern, or Evansville flip flopping uniforms is a branding mistake.

I liked all the alt unis but we wore them way too often last year.
Two-three times a year is plenty for me and hopefully interest the younger fans and more importantly the high school/college players that we want to sign.
Sold white is fire, as the kids say.
White-purple-white is strong uni game.
Traditionals is the GOAT!
But prepare yourself. At some time we will come out in all black. Why you ask? So Nike and LSU can sell more merch and make more money!

That’s jumping the shark, which others like UT and A&M have done. But we have never worn a combo that wasn’t Purple, Gold, or While. I don’t think we ever will.

I agree. Like the iconic gold-white-gold, it looks like LSU football. The problem for many with gold-purple-gold is that it was associated with the period of bad football in the Archer and Hallman regimes. Even though we've worn that uniform once, twice even three or four times almost every season and haven't lost once wearing it since 2000, many still think it's unlucky.

That’s another complaint that is overblown and needs to die. I’m good with wearing them just once per year at home unless there’s an opportunity for a neutral site or road game, but the stigma associated with this uniform needs to die. The 90s are long gone and a color combo isn’t bringing them back.
