It wouldn't, douche. See my post above. I'm not advocating not paying your boy his buyout.

your reply...

Geez, that letter comes damn close to (and maybe crosses the line) EXTORTION.

I guess it's a good thing he has a lawyer doing it for him.

The only thing that is different from this and the Nike/Avenatti situation is that the SCUMBAG Avenatti was trying to get $25 million for himself. But, in the end, it was still EXTORTION!

That's why I said "in spirit". I realize that's a losing proposition, which is why I understand paying the full amount of the buyout.

Right, it would be nice to not pay his buyout but outside of any rumored discreditable acts that might violate his contract, it’s hard to make an argument that he shouldn’t get his buyout.

Would be nice if we could avoid it (especially because it’s so front loaded which he could collect and walk away from any restrictions and get most of the buyout) but it’s what we agreed to.

He basically did the classic second or third contract move you see so many players make (especially NBA) where he performs well enough to get a contract extension then mails it in.

My God. I joke sometimes, but now I really do think that you're just not a very smart person.

Are you really not able to comprehend that in things like business, contract negotiations, many other interpersonal relationships, you often have to take a practical approach that may not mesh with your personal beliefs or emotions?

I see it everyday in my job, surely you see it in yours too.

I was responding to someone who asked why people THINK he shouldn't get the buyout. Yeah, I don't THINK he should. I also didn't THINK he should have ever gotten the job.

Then, in response to your lame attempt at some sort of gotcha, I informed you that I'm not ADVOCATING (pay attention, now, because to advocate is a different verb than to think (i.e., a person can think in one way while advocating for something else for certain reasons)) that LSU should not pay his buyout.

There are many reasons to pay up to get rid of O, and I understand entirely why LSU would do so.

The Tennessee coach's attorney said in the filings that what could come out in the suit could cripple Tennessee's football program for years to come. Think that ship has sailed.

But in all seriousness, it really is such a slimy thing. A former coach is essentially threatening to harm a former employer with things that the former coach was not only involved in, but in all likelihood instigated. It's why paying O off is for the best. I wouldn't trust him at all.

You implied he didn't abide by the contract to get his buyout...when asked what he did to not get paid his buyout you replied with "didn't run an effective football program"...that will not cancel a buyout dumbass. You were trying to shade O. That is all you do and you even want to imply LSU had no choice but pay him his buyout bc O is a bad guy and would cause problems. You don't know shite

Bingo

The deal struck was a mutual agreement that both sides had something to lose here so let’s play nice

And your dumbass thinks firing for cause, which is written into contracts to nullify a buyout, is the same as being fired for job performance

I really don't, bro. You can keep repeating it all you want. You can't even follow a conversation.

Please tell me more about how contracts are structured though.

I can’t see any reason for LSU to not pay Coach Orgeron his contractual buyout monies. He operated with his big head in 2018-2019. It’s after the divorce from his wife that his troubles began with his little head doing all of his thinking. Even King Solomon and King David in the Holy Bible had this problem with women. I feel sorry for what is happening to Coach O, but he hopefully will learn from this and move on to future success in his chosen profession. Geaux fighting tigers

So much so that the 6 year extension was 2 years too long and costs LSU millions more on top of the bum assistants getting millions not to work.

Its not Coach O I would be worried about in a lawsuit ....we already have something to worry about and her name is Sharon Lewis...she will be driving the F350 loaded with LSU Athletic Dept personal to the "TRAIN STATION"...
