Wimpy offense and god awful defense. Probably won’t make it out of a regional.

If this were a regional, they would not have made it out, that’s correct. Otherwise, That’s a pretty dumb statement to make.

Do you realize that Auburn's pitching is average at best?

Correct. Bats went ice cold. We saw signs of this against Nichols as well. Hopefully they turn it around.

Yep, the team may be in a mid-April hitting slump, but that can happen to the best. As long as the bats pick back up in May, is all that matters...

What are you going to do with Arkansas, Tennessee and A&M? Their pitching is much better than what they saw this weekend.

You mean the Tennessee team who gave up 26 runs in one day against A&M at home? Or the Arkansas staff who just got hit around at Georgia? Or the A&M team who had to score 13 unanswered runs against SC this past weekend including 2 grand slams in the bottom of the 9th to win 15-12?

Come on man, every team has pitching issues and every team has bad weekends. Sucks it happened, but you dumb frickers were saying this about the 2023 team who won a natty.

Not much we can do when the ump was favoring one team in particular.

We have hit statistically better pitching than Auburn.

We had a bad weekend though.

We scored 17 runs against Texas the best pitching team in the conference. 8 vs Auburn.

Team accumulated lofty batting averages against inferior competition. It was obvious this weekend that even Auburn is a better hitting team. They put bat on ball. Most of our guys are swinging for the fences even with two strikes.

He needs to move some of these guys off the plate. They won't swing at a ball on the inside corner because instinctively they believe the pitch is inside. Seen lots of guys take a called third strike because of that. Being so close to the plate takes away the ability to hit an inside pitch. It's gonna be foul or off the fist. In other words, all a team has to do is pitch LSU hitters on the inner third of the plate. That's why we seem to hit a lot of weak pop ups to the right side.

Hitters at the D1 level want to hit - not be hit.

Exactly. I doubt the hitting is as bad it was against Auburn. Don't care who it is against.

Nothing is obvious after one weekend. That’s a dumb statement
