We have followed the rules. Kiffin plainly stated we will continue to. If a court deems those rules illegal, then the situation changes. LSU is not a party to the lawsuit against the NCAA and the SEC.
Many players Around the country sued, as is their right, to play college football since they now have eligibility left under the new NCAA rules. They have a very strong argument. The courts will decide if they get to play, not the SEC or LSU. It will all play out, as it should, given this is a unique set of circumstances created by the rule change that everyone is looking to navigate and address and clarify.

The rule of law of a state of the USA supersedes the rules of a college athletic conference.

Ole Miss is part of the NCAA and chose to not follow the rules with Chambliss

You miss the point. It’s about who the rules are applied to, specifically the players in question. Sure the ‘rules’ are valid and will continue to be valid, and lsu will abide by them. This case is saying that those rules shouldn’t apply here

The SEC is a corrupt conference that changes its narrative based on what will make it the most money at the time.
We have watched this conference blatantly rig games, alter schedules that were in place for years, etc etc (I could go on and on).
Frick the SEC. If we were Bama they would be cheering this on and telling other teams "adapt or die". The media would do the same.

while i agree with you....we have not broken any rules. we are not the ones suing etc
I dont like any of this for 2 reasons
1) its a terrible look for the university as a whole
2) its a huge distraction on game week
3) the players are mediocre and dont even move the needle
4) quite frankly, Im tired of fricking hearing about all this bullshite. Its game week, I want to hear about football but all the media and podcast are talking about is this bullshite
but the posters talking about Pavia and chambliss are correct. there is literally no difference in the situations other than the 5 for 5 rule was passed after these players had already declared for the draft.
i hate this shite, but you have to acknowledge the situations.
its just like OM and fans of other schools pissed LK took the LSU job. Its fricking childish by them not acknowledging that CFB coach is nothing more than a job. anyone else in that situation in any other industry would have taken the job. everyone wants to get all emotional
right now many of our fellow LSU fans are emotional and want to stick it to Sankey and the SEC and to be a rebel cause they think its cool. Its dumb and emotional....but their points of contention are correct. either court rulings on ncaa elgibility matter or they dont

Agreed, as long as everyone plays by the same rules. If the SEC is going to continue to pick and choose which of their rules they enforce then they can continue to go frick themselves.

Yes they were the first to implement the “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” rule but I think that was a fan & Yell leader issue, still is

We may not like the rules, but the SEC rules are that our guys can't play.
He declared for the NBA draft knowing that he was foregoing 2 more years of remaining college eligibility…and still came back. The football players in question today were under the impression their eligibility was exhausted…until the NCAA made the 5 for 5 change after the draft and minicamp
