If we are part of a conference we should follow conference rules

I don't think this should be so complicated. If we value being in the SEC for football and all the other sports we should abide by conference rules, even if we voted against them.

Fine by me. But Vandy vacates every game Pavia played last year and Ole Miss needs to find a new QB as well. In no world should Trinidad get an extra year but these players should get hosed. Either they all play or none of them do.

We haven't broken any rules, though.
If the judge rules the players are eligible to play, and we decide not to roster them just to follow SEC rules, then that opens another can of litigation worms.

Who is “we”?? LSU? What should LSU do if there’s a court order requiring them to roster the players??? Btw LSU isn’t party to the lawsuit… it’s against the NCAA, SEC, and Stankey.

We haven’t broken any rules. There are plenty of conference rules that have been “broken” by injunctions for various players. The whole world didn’t go on their period about them though.

The thing is that according to current SEC rules Vandy and Ole Miss are fine. We may not like the rules, but the SEC rules are that our guys can't play.
I agree it may be unfair, but if you agree to be in a conference you agree to the rules. There was a vote and the rule was decided democratically.
In the long run, I don't believe this is worth it. Why should we damage our relationship with the SEC one of the best conferences in the country. There's really only two power conferences now--the SEC and Big Ten.

If they're ruled eligible and we play them a couple of Nancy SEC Institutes wants to get us kicked out, but, if we choose to not play them, we are open to being held in contempt of court orders.
