If the Texas game is canceled do we demand they reschedule it?

I’m not really talking about if Texas has a duty to reschedule it as I’m sure they don’t based on the circumstances. But do we publicly pressure them to reschedule it?

I fully expect them to throw their hands up and not lift a finger to return to Baton Rouge because that’s their way. Texas gets what Texas wants and they’ll hold their noses up about it forever. If they won’t reschedule it would be my dream for Woodward to publicly call them out about it and ridicule them.

They have a one off road game with Arkansas in 2021, then they start home and home series with Alabama, ohio state, Michigan. I see no reason why they cant come to baton rouge in 2021 instead of 2020, cancel that Arkansas game and we will cancel a rent a win, giving us at UCLA AND home vs Texas

Good luck demanding anything right now. 2020. Pandemic. 150000 people dead. Millions unemployed. Millions infected. Rioting in the streets.

I'm sure they will work something out even if the game doesn't happen for another 5-10 years with schedules already filled up. Personally, I would rather not play Texas this year if limited or no fans can go. You also have a Rice game at NRG in Houston you might have to reschedule but that would be easier to fit in.

The main thing now should be to play as many SEC games as you can and an additional non conf game would be lagniappe.

They'll reschedule the same year Arizona State repays us for the 2005 relocation.

if there is language in the contact for unexpected events like this , sure. If not, well, we can ask, but it sucks to be us.

It may be like a Va Tech Thing. Texas agrees to come to LSU in 2028.

It’s just bad luck and we have to move on. Texas has no obligation to reschedule.

At least we took their best shot and still beat their arse.

Remember, we beat them in football, baseball, and basketball in the same academic year.

Why? If anyone should be begging for a rematch it should be Texas? They're the ones that lost, not us? Why not just let it ride and stay on top?

Because financially it's a big game for LSU athletics
Not that it can't be replaced but that was going to be an easy sellout
At this point with no fans your going to be playing it at a loss except for tv money which goes into the sec pot

The lady from the athletic department said a few weeks ago on AFR that Texas and Bama were games they expected to make close to 10 million each

We could always use it to continue our recruiting advantage in Texas. I could hear O telling recruits, hey we beat them on the road and now the pussies are too scared to come play in Death Valley, you really want to play for a pussy coach....

It's a home-and-home contract; it will be rescheduled.

Went to their house and won on the way to one of the best seasons ever. Seems they want their shot but maybe we broke them. Think we win again this year so maybe it will work for them.

Katrina messed up the Arizona St home and home and I think the deal was they would schedule another home and home with the game played in Tuscon as a one time game.

It will be like the home and home with Oklahoma. Continually pushed back until it's now late in the decade, and still doubtful.

They need payback for cutting off the AC to locker rooms. All the BS they did in denying it.
