Ole Miss just did this and landed an All American QB that was otherwise ineligible.

As far as I can tell, LSU was still planning on playing the season and wasn’t trying to get Ole Miss kicked from the league.

Alabama did. Last year. Basketball played in i believe 6 games. NcAA appealed the ruling and won, nothing was done to them and the games counted. The sEC said and did nothing.
Vanderbilt played Pavia in violation of the rules, SEC did nothing. Chamblis will play, again nothing from the SEC. So sankey says he has to uphold his rules it only applies to LSU right?

Nope. But I’ll support it when we do it. It’s not that deep.

we would NEVER try to kick them out of the SEC.

The fact that this has been brought up tells you that something very sinister is going on in this league.

They'd rather sink the ship if they can't be captain.

Alabama did it. Texas A&M. South Carolina. Texas. All these schools have had “pro” guys or people who have participated in mini camps or “pro” activities.

Yes because I’m not a loser. I’d be pushing we should also be doing it.

If they are 5 for 5 guys (Class of 2022) went undrafted and were never paid as a salaried NFL player (53-man roster or practice squad), I have zero issue with it no matter what team.

This group of players never forfeited their remaining eligibility because there was no eligibility at the time to forfeit.

The SEC wouldn’t do anything.

Notice how they didn’t say anything about the Dallas judge and what happened there earlier this week.

These are not "NFL guys." Stop with that misrepresentation.
ex NFL guys get retirement packages. There are 1000’s of NFL guys who would love to be categorized as that to have those packages right about now.

If the roles were reversed, LSU fans would be against and acting like all other fanbases. Somehow when it’s LSU, it’s okay to do it

Charles Bediako:

- willingly left college early
- declared himself eligible for the 2023 NBA draft
- participated in pre draft workouts with 9 NBA teams
- signed multiple summer league and G league contracts with one of those being a two-way deal
- was a rostered, contracted player for 3 NBA G league teams

And came back 3 seasons later to play for Alabama.

Sure, LSU fans wouldn't support it.

What wouldn't happen is the SEC wouldn't generate a mass campaign to get them kicked out of the conference.

Great.

Nate Oats, the embarrassing POS is the person that set the bar for how we will operate moving forward?

No the SEC set the bar for what is allowable. LSU is better at wielding the tools someone else created.

We would say that is typical alabama. But it is, just as now, the NCAA's fault for intentionally doing nothing and allowing inconsistent and arbitrary eligibility rulings so the shite show would happen so we could "miss" them.

That it is a shame the conferences have to step in and make the rules. That it is weird only Alabama is named in the suit instead of EVERY team who has such players. That it is refreshing that bama gets held accountable for once, but it does seem they are being singled out as the only named and talked about party.

I started a similar thread yesterday.

Bama already did this in basketball and it was fine, but now they are after Wade.

If Bama was doing this for football, the entire media would be behind it.

I’d be pissed that my coach wasn’t smart enough to do the same thing. That’s why you have to have clearly defined rules for shite like this. Otherwise you leave it open for people to operate in the grey area. Don’t think for a second Saban or Spurrier wouldn’t have done the same thing if they could’ve pulled it off back in the day.
