Mullen was smiling big last night and some it I think he internally wanted to stick it to LSU for being completely ignored for the Job he would have taken in a heartbeat.

That is your only qualification on your brain dead list. None of those guys were available or would have been considered last year.

You're right the only person in the entire country we could've hired was a career d line coach who's only attempt to go above that is one of the most notorious failures in recent college football history.

Purdue, Minnesota, Virginia Tech, Mississippi state, Oklahoma state are all just out of league in terms of attracting coaches

It would've been Larry Fedora and we'd be 1-2 right now.

PJ Fleck

He is going to be a superstar and should absolutely be coaching LSU right now. Maybe after O crashes and burns we can still get him in a few years.

It still could be.

He won't win them at Minnesota.

He will eventually look for a bigger job.

Dude, Alleva had an extra 2 months that most dont have after being a POS and firing a legend in the middle of the season.

If he wouldve gotten off his lazy arse and immediately began to Work his arse off to find someone, he wouldve been able to.

I keep seeing Fuente and Herman's names popping up... This infuriates me more that Alleva waited a year too long to fire Miles due to fan pressure.. Had we cut Miles loose after the 2015 season like we should have, then either Fuente (who was still at Memphis) or Herman would have been ripe for the picking.. those were the exact two names that had me most excited back then.. instead, some of our most low-information fans lobbied to keep Les, Fuente goes to Va Tech, and the a yr later when we had a shot at Herman, the Texas job opens up.. Timing is everything in life, and in this case, Alleva's timing (or lack thereof) needs to cost him his job, because it directly resulted in Sat nite's loss in Starkville.
