I wasn't doubting you, I just hadn't heard that.

Chris Petersen. 80% win percentage at Boise state, made playoffs with UW last year. ranked 6th this year.
I also would have offered art briles however...here are some others...
1. Justin Fuente, Virginia Tech: is 3-0, scoring 40 points a game with a redshirt freshman quarterback who was a three-star recruit out of high school. Won his division last year.
2. Paul Chryst, Wisconsin: is also 3-0, scoring 43 points a game, including a 40-6 win over BYU yesterday. Won his division last year.
3. P.J. Fleck, Minnesota: is also 3-0, with a defense which is giving up just 8 points per game. Won the MAC last year at Western Michigan and was undefeated in the regular season.
4. Mike Gundy, Oklahoma State: is also 3-0 and has what looks like the best offense in the country, and a favorite to win the Big 12 if he beats Oklahoma later this year.
5. Mike McIntyre, Colorado: also 3-0, giving up only nine points a game defensively. Won his division last year.
There are lots of others who were available, as all of these guys were, and whose resumes were much more impressive than the coach LSU hired.

Seriously, after Alleva missed on HERMAN and Jimbo, who was next and would they have been a better hire?
Only give names of realistic hires. No saban, Meyer ECT
Hell, Aleva had almost a year to search; it was a panic hire. Almost anyone already on the staff would have been better. Plus, literally hundreds of better candidates. Settled for a moron who has no brains, morals, or integrity. He is a coach NO ONE wanted- even ULL would have never hired him. It still boggles the mind that people thought is was a great hire. He left Ole Miss a mess.

Mullen- would have been very realistic last year- and I touted him but no one agreed

I asked that question since coach O was hired and never received an answer that wasn't retarded, and these idiots think they are the smartest people in the world.

You post this in a thread chock full of legitimate options. I'm convinced you're just trolling. There's no way someone is really this dense.

They literally told Gary Patterson "no" when he asked for an interview. Not saying he was guy, but to tell that guy no tells you where their heads were.
And just how do you know this?

You want realistic names then I will give you a few that had better resumes than O. How bout these for a few names: Jeff Brohm, successful at WKU and now has Purdue playing ball, P.J. Fleck, Larry Fedora, Justin Fuente who brought Memphis success then turned Va. Tech around in one year, though he may have had a huge buyout, James Franklin, the guy I wanted from Day 1 when he turned Vandy around and brought PSU back to prominence after O' Brien left for the Texans though I will admit that O'brien had them headed in the right direction, Willie Taggert, successful at WKU and then successful at USF. That's just a few that come to mind and I believe that other than Fuente , we probably could have gotten any one of those names.

Dan mullin would merk with our talent. the way he gets the most out of his 2 and 3 star players is very impressive.

can't remember any school firing a HC for performance and then promoting a position coach from that same staff to be the permanent HC.
Dabo, but Davinhadnt already crashed and burned as a HC before.

Mullen- would have been very realistic last year
The problem was Mullen made $4.2 mil in 2016 and Alleva was cheap to offer O $3.5 mil saving $ for his assistants as promoted in O's killer binder. So after Fisher and Herman, it was all O's job to take.

Amen. Space Cowboy is convinced we would have won multiple national championships if O had been hired in 2005. They are in a whole different world of delusion if they aren't related.

Who after jumbo and Herman? A laundry list of guys would have been better. O should have never even been considered. Period. How in the frick did anyone think O was a good idea??!!
Where would O have been on anyone's list? Really? Number three on a list of coaching hires was fricking Ed orgeron?
