IF LSU were to win out, the hype would be overwhelming on Sam...

...would he consider going pro should he be in stage for the Heisman?
Point being, the hype would outweigh any flaws that may normally be the topic on a jr qb.
Or is the money here enough to roll the dice and play another year?
Ive been a critic, admittedly. But with Green, this offense is transformed into a machine, and Sam looks much more comfortable and plays closer to his core strengths.

Our second year transfer quarterbacks tend to win the heisman.

At what portion of the combine do they discuss hype?

If Sam won out he would have beaten bama and Texas and road Tenn.
Those are huge wins and assuming he does well in them, I think a Heisman discussion is appropriate.
Sam is a good QB. Becoming a very good QB at that. And with those wins would be considered elite.

Hype is a monstrous part of the process. Teams love clean good guy players that sell jerseys, etc
Do you really need examples of teams overlooking issues, and drafting solid players?

It would depend on his draft stock at the time. Right now, I don't think many, if any, project him as a 1st - 3rd round pick. Of course, having great games against Alabama, Texas and Tennessee, and the CFP, could change that quickly. I don't think even after 8 games in 2019 many had Burrow as a No. 1 lock. That changed after his performances vs. Alabama, Georgia and the CFP.
He's being paid roughly $5M by LSU. That's more than late first round picks. If his draft stock is outside of the 1st two rounds I see a scenario where he stays at LSU for a negotiated "salary" increase.

I'd think he'd like another year development with a QB whisperer to earn a top three likely pick.

I just really enjoy watching him play right now. He is just starting to get comfortable in the offense and is dealing. Will be fun to watch the rest of the season.

I really hope so. I’d love to see him next season with another year under Kiffin. The kid can ball and has as much heart as anyone I’ve ever seen.

Sam came with rust from his foot injury and had to work through that in actual games. He had to learn a new system, with new coaches, and receivers. His instincts took over and he relied on his running ability. The hamstring injury forced him to change his focus.
Having played through those issues, and gaining confidence in his receivers, he knows he can succeed without his legs for the most part.
If his leg is 100%, lookout.

Do you know who the player was who got the most hype for Heisman and potential number one QB draft pick after week four of the 2025 season?

The two receivers are way out front
If new Ohio st qb can’t get smith the ball he will lose momentum
Toney for Miami could win it with big game at notre dame and mensah is close to being another choice
At the end of the day it’s a popularity contest fueled by media hype
It’s out of the players hands for the most part

If Jackson Harris keeps up his current pace through the next 3 games he'll be in the conversation. That boy's on fire.

If LSU were to win out and Sam keeps slinging it, he would be invited to New York
