False. #1 seed is sent to the site closest to their campus

SEC Champ Atlanta
Playoffs Atlanta or Phoenix
Nat Champ New Orleans

They really need to go to campus sites for semifinals with 1 and 2 seeds hosting
SEC Champ needs to rotate between Atlanta and New Orleans as well

That's a lot of travel for any fan base.

I think it would matter what team is #4. The idea is to not allow the #1 team to be disadvantaged. Assume that LSU is not in this discussion and UGA is #4. The game would not be in Atlanta because the idea is it helps UGA.

So, we will need to know who is #1 and #4 for the final assessment.

Atlanta is closer to Columbus than Glendale is.

If we drop to #2 and Clemson stays #3, we will get sent to Arizona to play them.

No. #1 seed is sent to the site of their choice. See Alabama against OU last year. They went to the orange bowl instead of the cotton even though Dallas is closer to Tuscaloosa because Dallas is a HELL of a lot closer to Norman than Miami is.

It is designed to give the lower seed an advantage. If UGA is the 3 or 4 seed, they will play in Arizona regardless of opponent.

Oregon or Utah are gonna be #4 imo. #1 seed will play them in ATL. If LSU is #2, we'll play Clemson in Glendale, AZ. Believe me, you do not want to play Clemson in ATL.

To not give the lower seed the advantage right?

No way that UGA holds the #4 seed. If we win, they're out. If they win, they will move up.

It would seem kind of crazy that Clemson and LSU would play in Phoenix, while OhState and Oregon would go to Atlanta.

I guess it is what it is, though.

It’s impossible to always make this happen

For example

1. LSU
2. osu
3 Clem
4 uga

Either way, Uga or CLEM will be in Atlanta which will be disadvantaged for LSU or OSU
