If Kelly can’t make the playoff with this roster, we are so fricked. He will never make the playoffs if they miss this year.

They aren’t firing him. They will retain him because of the buyout.

4 years and 0 Playoff appearances would warrant termination

If this cocksucker isn’t fired in the next two years, the decision makers need to be fired…likely imprisoned for crimes against humanity.

Scotty made sure he would be retained. Period, Paragraph. No need for further discussion. It sucks, and is what it is.

There is NO CHANCE LSU will pay the $60 million that it would take to fire BK and staff. No CHANCE AT ALL.

This is why it is pointless to discuss at this point.

If LSU 2025 ends up 8-4 by Dec 1, there will still be NO CHANCE BK WILL BE FIRED. Absolutely no chance.

Kelly has LSU Athletics by the balls, so they’ll have no choice but to retain that arrogant fricking prick. At this point forward I’m just rooting hard for the team each time out like always and hoping for decent bowl games each year. Kelly ain’t winning a championship of any kind for LSU; you can be sure of that. SEC is just too much for him. He’s a 3 to 4 to 5 losses per year kind of coach - SEC-wise, that is. Best we accept it - is what it is.

Could they negotiate a lower buyout?

If we dont make the playoff this year, how are we going to make it next year? We lose almost all our production on defense and likely the coordinator, a large proportion of our playmakers on offense (who aren't really being used this year anyways). It seems very unlikely next years team isn't a major step down from this years.

What sort of mutual agreement?

Kelly is not walking away from a cent of his buyout; I wouldn’t and you wouldn’t either. Why would he?

Barring some impropriety on Kelly’s part that would allow LSU to terminate for cause, I predict Kelly will be at LSU for another 4 years, at which point his buyout will be around $20m.
