I have always been a fan of Chris Peterson & think he’s still due to be at a big time program.

2013 was the year the USC denied Coach Oeaux the head coaching job. The Men of Troy's refusal could have become a golden opportunity for the Tigers, three years before the fact.

Don't forget Lane Kiffin. He was cut loose from the Trojans mid-season. We could have had him before the debacle at Ole Miss.

You calling all the coaches between Dietzel and Saban less than a chimp?
Stovall was an awesome recruiter.

Correct me if I am wrong, but it appears the email referencing Alleva's suggestion to fire Miles was in June of 2013. If that is correct, I doubt LSU would have gotten an outside hire to come in that late. In all likelihood Cam Cameron would have become the HC. What happens after that, who knows? FAR too many variables. Maybe James Franklin gets hired after the 2014 season (that's when PSU hired him)

We had Anthony Jennings as a backup in 2014 and Brandon Harris as our 4-star true freshman QB. If we dumped Miles the year of Fournette’s senior season, that could have rippled there and he might have ended up in Bama like a lot of the 2017 class. Maybe Frank Wilson keeps him home as long as he’s retained but wasn’t a sure thing.

Not if we fired Les for sexual harassment.

We'd need a guy with no baggage in that area.

I wanted his arse fired after the BCS game.

Not because he lost. I'm not one of those type of fans. It's because Saban made him quit.

Yeah sure. Les had the winningest decade in program history, and Coach O had the greatest season in the history of college football. Both were the right guy at the right time.

If you were right, chimps like Archer and DiNardo and Curly would have won.

Can somebody with a good enough memory tell me how many we would have if we had done it after the 2008 season. That’s when it was obvious. That was the least expensive time to have gotten rid of the ignorant bastard.

On top of college football. Saban. At least 6 national titles.

Coaches before Saban were hamstrung by a cheap administration. Dinardo might have won big if he'd been able to retain his assistant coaches. He had us on the right track.

Alleva's email where he made his case to fire Les is dated June 21st, 2013. Cam would have been interim. Sorry if that doesn't make for fun what if scenarios.
Cam without Les might have done really well in 2013. Pretty sure Cam got Etling to transfer in, so he might have gone in a different direction then Harris.

Les was a drag on the offense, removing him would make the offense better under any OC.

That's such an impossible hypothetical. Way too many moving pieces. Ever heard of the butterfly effect?

Fire Les for a modern offensive minded coach, and recruits jump ship and sign with a rival program. That rival program is now better than they were in reality and beat us.

Those allegations did not come up until much later. His reputation was squeaky clean when PSU hired him. He was hired as a clean up guy.

1. You calling O and Miles NOT a chimp in a space suit? cause they are.
2. You left out the critical part about running an appropriate offense.
3. Dinardo was a chimp in a spacesuit. But an angry stubborn one who had to be removed from the space program.
4. Hallman was a hamster. Not even a chimp. Couldn’t get in the space program.

Peterson would have never come here because LSU doesn't have a medical school in Baton Rouge that could provide for his son's special needs.

Interesting in the fact that if you wouldve fired Les in 2013 it was pretty slim pickins. People say Jimbo but dont think he leaves that team at FSU, knowing what he had coming back.

If i had to take a guess, LSU would have probably gone after Muschamp and got him. He was on LSU's short list for coaches for a very long time.

So the question is, would Muschamp had won a natty at LSU? Doubtful IMO.

Muschamp was still at Florida. He wasn’t going to LSU.
