I can promise you that Lane is already thinking about 2027 and is evaluating accordingly.

Daniel’s couldn’t process to save his life in yr one. All he did was run. you underestimate Kiffin.
Leavitt yr 2 will look nothing like yr one. Just like Daniel’s and burrow although burrow had better coaching at Ohio st and was more advanced in yr one than the other two.

Jayden Daniels and Burrow

I watched both play and you could tell they would be great if they put it together with leavitt you see none of that.

He’s won’t step up, he reins from ghosts and misses wide open receivers

The ability to process doesn't just turn on and off.

The same with accuracy.

The examples of QBs who developed these skills later into their career is extremely small.

Leavitt misses wide open primary receivers. He tries to scramble every play. His passing is incredibly inaccurate. This has been his entire career.

He sucks as a passer. There’s nothing wrong about an honest evaluation. If a QB can’t hit the open WRs in critical spots 5+ times a game or is too scared to step up in the pocket you need a new QB in the game. It’s beyond ridiculous. Idgaf if he’s getting 5 mil or whatever it is.

But they clearly throw darts, not the case with SL. His throws are usually low velocity and like some said, a ton get batted down easily

Leavitt isn't a QB. He is a running back

If he performed that I way at a real job he’d be fired.

He should lose his starting job, he’s making more in 1 year than I’ll make in 2 lifetimes.

Tards don’t need to be making these decisions, coaches do.

See the dumb takes on Daniels and even Burrow when he first got to LSU.

You don’t think Kiffin hasn’t been evaluating every player since he got here? If he thinks another guy is better than Leavitt, he will play him.

It's Longstreet big guy. Clark is never going to be the starting qb for LSU. He may start a game in an emergency situation

Clark has shown the mobility

If he does better running the offense and is a more accurate passer, I don’t think Kiffin will be committed much longer to Leavitt

Simmons was his guy at Ole Miss and injury led to Chambliss. That fact won’t be lost on him here

Clark is a very talented QB. He's going to get some playing time.

Jaxson Dart under Kiffin debunks this

2022- 62% comp, 20 TD, 11 Int
2023- 65% comp, 23 TD, 5 Int
2024- 69% comp, 29 TD, 6 Int

Nobody knows how this plays out but if there is any coach that can correct it, that is Lane Kiffin.

There's a lot to consider with Leavitt's play last night.

1. It was clear he was not letting it rip in the first half because of the turnover thing last week and being told to protect the ball and let the defense play. When our defense struggled to consistently stop OM/Chambliss, the game plan was adjusted in the second half and he opened it up more.

2. He looked good for stretches of the second half, but he definitely didn't consistently settle his feet and progress through his reads even when he had time. He seemed sped up, especially during the clutch drive at the end.

3. He was looking to use his legs before his arm most of the time. His comfort zone is scrambling and it's affecting his ability to be a good pocket passer. He just doesn't look comfortable climbing the pocket, going through his progressions and throwing the ball with the proper trajectory/accuracy.

I hope his comfort in the pocket improves, but it's a hard coaching job. You don't want him to change his ability or willingness to scramble because it is a strength, but you also don't want him sped up in the pocket. LK has his work cut out to coach Leavitt's ability to move IN THE POCKET, settle his feet and throw on time with accuracy but still use his legs when needed.

So exactly the same amount of time as Burrow and Daniels
