Arizona St is in the playoffs with 57 transfers signed in the last 2 years.

Y'all need to need to drop the decimated roster excuse and hold BK accountable for earning his paycheck.

Who is better that is available currently? From three years ago, who do you wish they had hired instead?

Arizona St didn’t play 4 currently ranked teams and 9 bowl eligible P4 teams either. Like LSU, they lost to 2 unranked teams. They also won by one score against 5 unranked teams. Their position in the CFP is a combination of a weak schedule and a good bit of luck. It’s also one season. I’ve yet to see anyone build a sustainable program making quick fixes in the portal.

exactly lol Coach O got fired, finished the season, and still made the same exact bowl game that our $20m Coaching staff made this year

All of the starters from the 2021 team are long gone now. Kelly is out of excuses at this point.

Kelly will never overcome! O basically gave the program a self imposed death penalty!

Les would make a 12 team playoff every year.

ah, so lsu pays him 100 mil to course correct this team…shouldn’t take long for the active winningest coach to do

funny his best season was his first season taking over this train wreck team

The book has been out on Kelly. Too many ND fans warned us for anyone to be shocked. From his hands off approach as a coach and leader, struggling against real competition and beating up on bad teams then beating his chest. That’s what I would say.

That a 12 team format where teams are selected and seedlings decided on an opinion of a committed is stupid

Then LSU is fricked. Kelly isn't very good in measuring talent in recruiting.

Texass Bowl the year before he became HC.
Texass Bowl the 3rd year into his stint as HC.

The guy was fired because he refused to adapt to a modern offense, but sure sure, keep going.

And? Does SOS count for the playoffs? Or losing games you should win?

If LSU handles its business and wins against a shite USC team and beats UF in the swamp with Lagway on a bum hamstring, they more than likely are in.
To top it off, LSU recruiting classes have been ranked far above UF's classes. So it's not a talent issue as much as it is a coaching issue.

The high turnover excuse is no longer valid as other teams can maneuver through their schedules while managing a huge influx of players.

When I hear “this is on BK and Woodward” I laugh at how little the Rant understands major College athletics. It is all about the MONEY and University brand. The amount of revenue growth under Kelly has far outpaced the increase in pay he received over Orgeron. LSU is making more money under Kelly, no longer has to worry about lawsuits and pictures of the HC being in bed with women, and the amount of student athlete issues has gone away almost completely (TH excluded). The University - Tate - decided to clean up the PROGRAM because the shite show that was Orgeron was hitting the University in the pocketbook in ways beyond W/L s. It’s very possible football’s issues forced LSU’s hand with Wade. It’s bigger than most people want to admit.

Would you also add the caveat that he just replaced a heisman winning dual-action quarterback with one who refuses to run?

ASU is in ONLY because of their weak schedule, and they still lost 2 games. So don't come in here acting like they are some powerhouse who deserved to be in. Others in front of them lost to better competition and they moved up in the rankings.

You're 100% being disingenuous with trying to use ASU as some big gotcha.

I would have said that LSU hired a guy that had no history of winning national championships.
