Why would a young aggressive coach come work for these guys when they can go anywhere? You think this won’t affect who LSU will hire next? Lsu has essentially ended recruiting this year and most likely next. Nobody wants to come into that mess.

LSU has fricked themselves in so many ways.

If he's innocent then it's truly a travesty.. but even if he wasn't.. no one of worth is coming here. Players and coaches.

It's absolutely disgusting. I have never been one to say I wouldn't want my child coming to LSU, but this has truly changed my opinion. If I had a son who was a hot basketball prospect.. I would not want him coming into this mess unless somehow Wade stays and people at the top are removed.

LSU has made LSU look so much worse by their actions. This would have easily blown over had they just said we will wait and see. Even if he was guilty, this isn't going to save this season.. and it's not going to save that much damage with punishments. So what if it's less severe. LSU should have stood by their coach and been all in on the season. It is too late in the season for this type of action. These opportunities are rare.

It's disgusting LSU is doing. I will rejoice the day Alleva is gone. And yes, I know it goes beyond him, but I loathe that guy.

Well, if I had a subpoena saying I couldn’t and the FBI, HR and some other surprise people, I’d probably be locked in to denying that meeting. Sorry. Thing is, you couldn’t suspend or terminate me for that with no cause.

Look at the coaches we hired before Wade. If we blow it with him that's what we're going back to.

This is your justification? If LSU ends up on probation and Wade is given a "show cause" will you still feel the same way? Would the 3 month run to a vacated SEC title be worth it?

Maybe this all blows over. Maybe I'll have a threesome with two Golden Girls.

He is in a legal position. I can't blame him for refusing to meet with admin. My problem is he got caught cheating. LSU is in a position too regarding firing him. Suspending him was the right move EXCEPT I want to know whether admin was involved in the cheating.

uh, except for Wade himself. On tape.

Do you people honestly think the tape is fake, or Wade was “misunderstood”? My god, get real. Wade knows what he did, and got caught. If the tape wasn’t really what it is, Wade would be screaming his innocence from the mountaintops. But he knows he got caught, that’s why he lawyered up and is zipping his lip.

This board is in full-blown denial.

LSU is just screwed. The federal trial is just going to prolong the consequences from the NCAA. I think Lester Earl-esqe OR WORSE. Enjoy the tournament because it will likely be vacated.

I agree with you. Any regular job and you're fired, period! I love WW and what he has done, but he has no one to blame except himself! Some LSU fans need to take off the purple/gold sunglasses and see it for what it is! Do all the big boys cheat? Yes, yes and yes! The point here is WW got caught with his hand in the cookie jar and that's his fault! Quit blaming the administration for something is all WW's fault! If you're going to cheat, you need to learn how to cheat and not get caught and he got caught. He was reckless and now he has to pay the price!

Likeadog speaks the truth. If any of my employees refuse to meet with me or my managers, then they are eliminated from the organization. Wade’s a pussy and guilty of cheating and we need to fire him now. WTF are you Wade ball lickers thinking .

You dont have contract employees.

WW is on contract. All you assholes shut up. Your employees are “at will”

Totally different GTF, this board is full of idiots.

Calipari and Pearl have been proven habitual cheaters at multiple jobs, and are doing just fine today.

WW is 36, let him win his case, and/or lets see how steep the wrist slap(if comes)..

He's gonna be a title winner one day, whether it's at LSU or not..is still TBD.

Dude please. Im a lawyer. WW could sue LSU claiming contractual violations and vice versa. You dont know wtf your talking about.

You dont even know the difference between a contracted employee and a “at will” employee. GTF.

This thread is full of wanna be armchair attorneys talking out of their asses. Folks on here are right to say WW has rights going bothways. LSU admins decision was questionable to suspend WW. He is under federal subpoena and is NOT allowed to discuss it before the trial. And LSU cant fire him right now or else they would have already.

Morons in here claiming WW is caught, wrong, and fireable for the alleged missed meeting need to stfu. You are clueless as frick. Please stop embarrassing yourselves. Your are uneducated on the law and speaking through false loyal P and G glasses.

You don't have a copy of Wade's contract Here you go. Have at it boss.

Thanks,

According to the contract he signed, LSU iswithin their rights to suspend Wade. And based on sections G and H, LSU probably would not have much trouble firing him for cause. Dawkins was known to be involved in paying players by anyone in college basketball, Wade should have reported the conversation to LSU compliance.

Page 29
Section D. Suspension and other Disciplinary Action

"COACH" = Wade

Paragraph ii: "LSU may suspend COACH for an indefinite period during an investigation by LSU, another governmental entity, or the NCAA, or SEC to determine whether COACH has materially violated any laws or governing athletics regulations."

There are alot of attorneys on this board. Listen to them. Its not a rear end collision auto accident, obvious case.

And Lol and you trying to interpret WW’s contract. This thread is the funniest and dumbest shite ever.

PS, if they could fire WW for cause they already would have dumb frick. Go sit down!!!!!!!!

I’ve been a lawyer for 30 years. So I’m not only educated but experienced. Read the contract. Wade is required to fully cooperate with LSU and NCAA in any possible investigation. He can also be suspended indefinitely while LSU investigates any possible violation. Like it or not, LSU is fully within its legal and contractual rights.
