Allegedly... have you heard the tape has joe allvea or f king or the ncaa????
NO NONE OF THE ABOVE HAVE HEARD IT.

I'm not saying it isnt true,(I believe it us) but you dont suspend one of the best young coaches in basketball on the word of pat forde.

LSU caused this by asking for a sit down when they shouldn't have. LSU should have followed suit with all other institutions involved in this investigation.
I'm glad of the virtue of the LSU board, but Naz Ried or Javonte Smart were never going to LSU to get a degree this is a nba job interview.

They would be terminated. Let alone sending communications about your job and employer to the media in the way Wade did. Lack of institutional control on full display. Unless he behaves like an adult and decent employee, Fire him to avoid the hammer coming down on us and hire another young aggressive coach. More investigations are coming. Trust me!!!

I worked for two major corporations, several universities, private businesses, and as a independent professional licensed in my field. All of these jobs were subject to the oversight of multiple regulatory agencies. If aemployee be they a custodian or a CEO did anything to cause suspicion of violating some regulation that would affect the operation of the organization, they were removed form their job until the situation was resolved. It is SOP in any business whose operation requires complying with regulatory agencies. You are in fact guilty until proven otherwise, and you agree to that when you take the job.

Lsu started this mess by leaking what really happened in the media forcing wade to respond. There’s a reason he hasn’t been fired. At this point LSU admin. are hoping the cam show cause or else they will be the ones fired.

If he did have employees he would at least know the basic laws behind it. So yeh, agreed this asswipe is full of shite.

I agreed with the OP, and I am more that familiar with Employment at will, covenant of good faith exemption, public policy exemption, implied contract exemption, and most other aspects of employment law that determine who I can terminate, and for what cause.

And you should be sued for wrongful termination under the conditions put on Wade. Very self righteous of you.

Unless you have a copy of Wade's contract how do you know the handling of Wade was in some way improper?

Why would a young aggressive coach come work for these guys when they can go anywhere? You think this won’t affect who LSU will hire next? Lsu has essentially ended recruiting this year and most likely next. Nobody wants to come into that mess.

First of all stupid, Will Wade is under contract to LSU and I doubt that following his legal counsel's advice prior to testifying is any grounds for termination.

Then there is the fact that dumbass Alleva called in the NCAA to participate in the discussion. Will Wade hasn't testified yet but Alleva and the NCAA wants questions answered prior to a Federal trial where Will Wade is witness? That is insane.

So what grounds do you have for termination without opening yourself up to a lawsuit? Hell there is no reason to even suspend Will Wade much less Terminate him.

You don't have a copy of Wade's contract so you don't have any idea of what the athletic department can or cannot due.

Technically Wade is not employed by King Alexander or Alleva. Also, demanding an employee reveal sensitive information regarding a federal investigation could be considered tampering by the FBI which would make the employer subject to criminal charges by the federal government. Concerning the media and the general public there is a very big difference between a privately owned company and a public institute funded by tax payer dollars. Apparently some people don't understand this.

As an employer with a brain, I would not ask an employee to discuss an fbi investigation he’s serving witness to. Especially in front of a third party

OP do you cancel your meeting on your employees and then tell them “I am rescheduling your meeting; I have invited the police for this new one. We have some questions for you” after they got caught talking about borrowing your red pen?

Nice straw man. Not quite accurate. Borrowing pens does not lead to massive fines and penalties on businesses.

Regardless of the reason, the employee has to meet with the employer. If they do not they accept the consequences of their actions.

Do any of your employees have a $9MM buyout if you fire them without proper cause ?

I cannot believe LSU is taking this moment away from Will Wade.

It is mind blowing, honestly.

No one else is putting Will Wade in this position, but LSU.

Not sure why this has to repeatedly be explained. LSU exacerbated this mess into the shite show it is. As is the norm. Fight or flight these pussies always choose flight.
