If a team can be fined for letting fans rush the field, Texas should be fined

for letting fans throw dozens of objects into the field and stopping play.

The SEC needs to set a precedent right now. Someone could easily have been injured. It was a dangerous situation.

Was Tennessee fined after throwing all that stuff on the field against Ole Miss a few years ago? That’s the precedent here

It’s well known that the SEC officials are terrible at their jobs

It’s also known that the SEC will do nothing to hold them accountable

And conference fines go to the opposing institutions. So Ole Miss got that money.

For non-con, the money goes into the Post Graduate Scholarship fund. SEC said we aren’t giving that money to other conferences.

The penalty should have been first assessed in game with a 15- yard penalty to UT.

That is unacceptable, and it’s the rules that it is a penalty on the offending fans’ team.

It could have been the Ole Miss fans when they announced it would be a penalty.

I think LSU fans tossed some of those bracelets after that Ole miss TD in the second quarter. But those aren't dangerous like filled beer cans.

No they didn’t. The rule to pay the fines to the opposing team started this year.

Fine them and ban alcohol sales in the stadium for the remainder of the season.

If the officials took away the past interference call, then they should have also assessed a personal foul on the fans at the same time. It really was that simple. But Texas was getting all the calls for some reason last night.

Exactly. It's the striped lemmings that should be fined.
