I’d ban-bet anyone that Woodward attempts a huge splashy hire costing around Jimbos range

As much as Aranda is LSU’s only real sure thing, Woodward will ignore him, because he wants to make a huge splashy hire that will send a statement all across college football.
The problem is it may be a huge belly buster like the hire Jimbo Fisher is at Texas A&M. Woodward and LSU can’t afford to miss, when it could cost them what it’s costing A&M now to fix the problem.
What huge splashy sure things are there besides Saban, Kirby, Day, and Dabo? That’s what I keep asking myself.

I think Woodward was being pushed HARD by the money guys at A&M to get Jimbo, and they were willing to pay the price to get him.

They aren’t going to hire a minority just to hire one. Now that said if James Franklin is willing to come then that might be the tie breaker between him and another candidate.

Wouldn't be upset with Franklin. He'd open up the NE & Midwest recruiting for us moreso than it is now while maintaing the SEC territory.

But the reality is this board needs to wrap it's head around the Top 5 minority coaches, WITH HC EXPERIENCE, that are available.
