Jay has always hoped that Pearson could regain the bat he had last year, and his OB% is very good.
I don’t think he’ll insert Kling in the lineup after being a late game defensive replacement/pinch runner since the A&M series.

Milazo has been catching Skeens. I don’t see that changing.
Something has to give there..
He may finally get the chance today because it may be the best option the rest of the way.

The only thing I would change from yesterday is Milazzo behind the plate and let Travinski DH for Beloso. I like letting Pearson getting more at bats if his confidence is continuing to climp. Also think Jobert has had decent at bats against LHP and he has been hitting. You don't take him out right now.

And the previous 20 ABs?

Acting like he completely sucks when he’s shown he can give you solid contact is a bold stance.

His at bats have been too erratic to draw much off of

He should be fine next year because the potential is there, but he needs time to catch up to the college game. Nothing wrong with that, but this year ain’t it for him and I can’t grasp why so many on here want it to be when there are other viable options actually producing. Go back and check the game logs of how he’s been since sec play has started and get back to me.

Pearson and Jobert have shown they can hit LHP so I think you let them get their hacks against a really good lefty. Bring Kling in for a PH role or defensive sub later. He’s a talent but not sure I would put him in ahead of Jobert or Pearson today.

I expect to see a very similar lineup to the one we had yesterday. There is not a reason to change it unless Jay feels Jones or Kling have improved against the secondary pitches to get them in the lineup. Otherwise those two will be used as pinch hitters if needed.

Why take pearson’s hot bat out of the lineup for Kling?
