i wish the LSU PR machine would push back

LSU is getting torn in sports media with implications this is unique to LSU and Kiffin, when it very obviously is not. LSU didn't even start it. From what I read, Texas was the first school to get a NFL camp player to commit.

I'd say it is very unfair to the guys that knew they probably weren't going to make an nfl team, but had no choice but to try, or just quit football. Then, they come out with a new ruling AFTER the draft. That's my issue.

Why would they? It was win win for LSU. You get them on campus and SEC doesn't rule against it - competitive advantage. You don't - you exposed a major loophole in their rules, got it closed, and eliminated everyone else's potential competitive advantage. LSU might not have ever intentionally thought these guys would play for them but they can't say that because it could open them up to lawsuits with the players.
