So it really sucks to say, but JD is not a good passer. Unless he has improved dramatically, he will struggle against competent defenses.

None of the 10 picks from '21 were due to great defensive plays. They were all simply poorly thrown balls. 4 of those were bad overthrows of wide open receivers.

Perhaps having the best receiver room in the SEC will make a difference.

I would love to be wrong, but I've seen this movie before.

Feel free to bookmark and downvote.

Edit:

He's simply not very accurate. He misses open receivers, stares down his targets, and is slow to make reads.

Nuss will be the starter by halftime Gainst Moo State.

Can’t be worse than Max Johnson, but I guess we should demolish the stadium and cancel football.

Thanks for the input coach. If only Scott Woodward would’ve known that you, geauxkoo, were such an authority on scouting and predicting performance before he gave that huge contract to Brian Kelly

It’s weird how so many in this fanbase think everyone else in college football can improve year to year but Daniels. It is such an odd thought process.

Well you are at least a little bit full of shite. I’ve watched some too and know at least 1 int was a good defense play.
And I really don’t understand why you numbnuts can’t at least let him play in an LSU uniform with LSU players before bashing him. He may not be amazing but I’d be willing to bet he will be better than some of the QBs we’ve had recently.

Max really didn’t throw picks if we are being honest. I do believe JD was young and didn’t have very good coaching. Our coaching staff will be much different than AZ State.

Ya think?

How many of those 10 interceptions were due to crap/wrong routes if they weren’t due to good defensive plays

Max's problem was not throwing the ball at all and not taking off running (after his freshman year) when pressured and taking sacks (and LSU's offense being really stagnant).

Well, he threw 22 TDs to 3 picks his first two years, so I'm guessing there were some other issues at play too (I know his WRs were completely depleted and inexperienced last year). When he had some good and experienced WRs, it looks like he put up good numbers.

He’ll probably throw more passes than Russell Sheperd, so we shall see

Well, if geauxkoo says it, then it simply must be true!

Why don’t you go cheer for ULL?
