Did you watch all of Nuss games from last year as well, and whats his stats?

I was surprised how inaccurate Nuss was in the Arkansas game last year. He sailed a lot of throws in that game (even short ones). But it was just one game and he was a true freshman. I was impressed with how strong his arm was whenever I saw him last year. He has the ability to probably make any throw on the field if he improves his accuracy because he is really athletic. I'm looking forward to seeing the progression with him.

He's simply not very accurate. He misses open receivers, stares down his targets, and is slow to make reads.

his intermediate comp % was only 47%. may be more to it than we thought. those are plays you must complete to keep drives going. cannot always rely on quick short hitters and the deep 50/50 balls.

You can't watch the first half of the season and come away thinking he's not a very good quarterback. People who just claim he doesn't make any reads & is quick to run haven't paid much attention to any of his clips. He seemed to have a lot of confidence early on in the season, & did a lot of good things in the BYU, Utah, UCLA games in particular. His receivers weren't very impressive & didn't make many plays. The running backs were very good(better than anyone on our end this year going in for sure), so it makes sense that they went more run heavy, with JD included.

That being said the overthrows were definitely an issue. Maybe the footwork issue Kelly & Denbrock have mentioned multiple times was one of the primary causes. If he's gotten that under control he can be very, very good here. It's likely that we'll see.

This is dead on.

I don’t know wtf happened after that Utah game but that offense and Daniels was never the same the rest of the season. Which is so puzzling because they had a bye week going into that Wash St game and went out there and had their worst game of the season.

They were completely out of sync and in disarray up until the Arizona game to end the season.

But the first 5 games and he’ll even the first Qtr of that Utah game idk how you don’t come away excited about what JD can be here.

Nuss will either A.) be named starter early next week or B.) Be the starter after the Southern game. Shoot it to the bank like a money pistol

What’s funny is you guys shite all over Daniels for his passing but act like the Arkansas game last year didn’t happen.

I watched some of his highlight reels. He has a good ball when he has time. He looks like Michael Vick when he runs and can throw a dart.

If he is healthy and our Coaches are helping him reach potential, he could be very good. If it’s that close between him and Nuss that’s exciting.

Can y’all STFU and let the season play out? You’re like the people talking shite about burrow and saying Justin mcmillian was going to be the starter.

He had shite coaching and zero talent around him last year. A change of scenery can do wonders.

You don’t know shite and your arm chair analysis means Jack shite

Serious question, how was his completion percentage so high?

Nuss didn’t look good either last year. Couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn. 50% completion percentage.

Someone has to start.

They threw a lot of underneath stuff. Swing passes, screens, scraps, dump offs….etc…..

Teams spied him a lot so they almost always had someone in the flats

If your intention was to start a thread that exposed all the ignorant dipshits who haven’t watched him play a down you’ve accomplished that.
