yeah I laugh every time we have one of these threads at the amount of people saying they supported the hire. It just doesn’t match reality

O had long time coaching and player legends hanging out all last year. Amazing to see such a historic season too.

I was against the hire, but hiring Joe Brady completely turned everything around

What’s a true LSU fan? I would say it's someone that doesn't shite on the program for months on end using the following to support their illogical ramblings
1. Muh Ole Miss
2. He talks like us
3. He was a successful interim coach...that doesn't translate to now (I wonder if USC wishes they had O?).
4. Shitting your pants in fear BEFORE we ever play a game.
5. Calling out anyone that is sensible (posters that state stuff like "why don't we wait to see what happens" being roundly shite on for being football dumb by the psych O's.)

In short, when you act like an arrogant and insufferable know it all, and the the EXACT OPPOSITE of what you predicted occurs...you kind of lose this thing called CREDIBILITY.

As for me... I thought it was time for Les to go. I didn't like the hiring process at all. I do like Coach O but he certainly wasn't my first choice. I liked the Canada hire but was wrong about it (The tards on here would have had you believe he was the best coach in the world last week...they lost to Temple today...fricking Temple!). I thought our defense would be great I like Emsminger. I think he does a very good job in calling plays (and thought this before yesterday!). I also think Orgeron deserves the time to turn around an LSU program that was, imho, in an obvious decline. If we aren't competing at a very high level...fire Orgeron. TLDR - as a Tiger fan I have given O a chance and so far, he has stepped up. To those that wished that we lost every game just to fire O, you are not a true Tiger fan imo. Peace and Geaux Tigers

Man I was so pissed off when we hired O. One of the many times I've been dead wrong.

Exactly. Watch - I hated the hire, I made fun of him, I called him the Shrimp Boat Captain, laughed at the Rosy Finch Boys, mocked his relationships with Ponamsky....AND
I was wrong.
See, that's not so hard.
Or, was I the only one doing all these things??

Nah son. I did all of that except calling him names. I went so far as to stop buying anything with LSU on it because he was hired. Never been so happy to be so wrong in my life. I love a good redemption story and his is especially inspiring to me because of my past. Happy to have him as our coach.

Tom Herman mocking Drew Lock during a game. Can't imagine Coach O ever doing that to an opposing player. Too much respect. Herman is immature and an Oscar Meyer wanna be. Which means he wants to be a douche. He doesn't know that he already made it. #bulletdodged

He tries way too hard. The mocking of Lock, the picture of him with the grill and kissing his players all come across as fake. Then of course the crying on the sideline was the icing on the cake. That was ridiculous.

which coaches have won big at texas? He has had to rebuild with what we all know is a toxic booster group over there at texas. In theory its a good job, but its hard to get everyone on the same page there. Its very likely aranda was the dc and burrow was the qb last year if herman was at lsu. Not saying we wiuldve won the title, but an argument can be made. His offenses are good. I cant say if he is as open as orgeron when it comes to listening to others when it comes to biometrics and getting the players optimal rest and hiring advanced scouting shadow staffs

100% disagree with this. I do not understand how some of you have such a love for Herman. Never understood it and still don't. You say a case can be made for success Herman would have had at LSU? Hell a case can be made that Orgeron was 15-0 and National Coach of the year at LSU while Herman was losing 5 games at Texas vs. Big12 competition. The reason I can make that case is BECAUSE IT HAPPENED. LOL.

Alleva tried to get Jimbo... failed TWICE!
He then tried to get Herman... failed
Settled with O, O gets a top OC like he promised and they disagree and argue... leads to bad divorce

Enter Steve E: who promises up-tempo with 3-4 wr sets, utilizing talent, with a competent qb!!! sign me up

Surtain isn't even the best cb coming into college; the Radley-Hiles kid at Okl is. Amon-Ra St. Brown had his way with him. You saw him get burned all through the Army game and on the final drive gives up the game winning TD... no hips, gets lost and turned around easy

Me too I was wrong, I told a friend why in the hell would we hire a DL Coach making 450,000$ and pay him 3 mill to make our offense better, then we end up with the #15 recruiting class. I said the has disaster written all over it.

I have to admit I was nervous about hiring a coach who used to drink coleslaw out of a styrofoam cup but I’m so glad it worked out. He is the best man for the job. I prefer my coach to get two sides of coleslaw at canes then a coach who kisses his players.

I wanted TH too. (I'm 99.9% sure that TH at LSU would have turned out different than it has at Texas so far)

The JA hiring process of Orgeron was dysfunctional and extremely flawed.

O then made a very bad choice for an Offensive Coordinator. He buried his Ego, realized the mistake and fortunately made the correction.

I don't think anybody will disagree that EO's TWO "Saving Graces" of the program were the hiring of Joe Brady and the recruitment of Joe Burrow.

He also realized that older coaches (You know, the ones that all the "18 and Under" Rant fartknockers don't like) that can actually coach their position effectively are much better than coaches than can only recruit, but can't coach their way out of wet paper bags.

Trading young Johnson for Old Fart Johnson has been a godsend for the Defensive Line.

Old Fart McMahon has improved ST's tremendously. (The Rant said he was horrible with the Saints and wouldn't work out)

Keeping Old Fart Ensminger around for cohesiveness and to learn the Brady Offense worked out to maximum effectiveness.

Old Fart Busch got Burrow in here and has helped solidify the Secondary.

Bringing Old Fart Pelini back in with a more aggressive and attacking defense will work out as well........

It kind of is. However, I must say that I did enjoy bringing it up. Let’s be honest, there were a shite ton of posters who talked mad shite for months on end. Now, most of them have posting amnesia. It’s all cool though as long as we are all Tiger fans.

I wanted Herman too. I never wanted Fisher. I wasn’t excited about hiring O, but I was open minded about it and willing to give him a chance.
