Horrible loss even though we upset Tennessee the following week

My second year. We were tigerbaiting group of Tennessee fans walking past tailgate.

They started chanting back at us …
“U-A-B! U-A-B! U-A-B!”

Ouch

What an awesome follow up game. We (student section especially) needed that victory and post-game celebration.

I hugged it out with Josh Reed after that UT OT game.

I went to the party he was at after the game. He was trashed & very talkative. I met Reed on a few occasions at Stadium Club and he was always a great dude to talk to.

The troy game was my first time watching a game in Death Valley. Still a good time though

Colorado St. in 1992 on the way to 2-9 was the lowest of the lows. UAB was bad, but Saban was trying to start something special with the guy that everyone wanted at QB (and a good dude and a kid that sacrificed to come to LSU). I was at both games. 92 was despair.

I was there. I was calling for Saban's arse to be fired on the spot.

It’s probably the best loss in LSU history. It started the change imo.

Does anyone have any video? All I’ve found was the field goal in a UAB montage, and the game was on ESPN.

Seems like it’s been scrubbed from existence.

I was at the chimes drinking during the UAB game and remember thinking after it who the hell is this clown we just hired?!

While bad, I'd have to say the arse whipping we took from Miami of Ohio in 1986 was considerably lower.

I got shitfaced and ended up throwing up on the curb at Superior

Half gallon of crown between two people will do that

I remember that one well. Was a freshman in Tiger Band. We had whipped Aggie rather soundly the week before to start the season, then lost that game 21-12. Got to see Ronnie Lewis flip double birds to the student section after he FINALLY hit a field goal. (His antics made the front page of newspaper sports sections across the country the next morning.)

How’s the story go? Booty changed the call at the line, INT, UAB scores game-winning TD shorty after?

Was there.
It was an even lower experience than O’s Troy debacle.
Worse game I ever attended, and I’ve sat through some stinkers!

That was actually my first LSU game. It was during the testing while I was a senior, IIRC. Something while I was a senior.

At that point I had resigned myself to slumming it at LSU and wasn't even a viewer of CFB. I went because my friends went ant threw a party.

I worked the concession stands for that game, we snuck on the field after the game and played for 10-15 minutes until an LSU GA walked out and told us “Coach Saban is pissed. Get the frick off the field!”
