there is much exuberance being exhibited on this board concerning our offense this year. imo, yes it will be much improved. but no matter what some visualize, les miles and cam Cameron are not spread offense architects.

I think the offense of '13 will be emulated with a few more twists. that is pretty much ground and pound with 3rd down passing. since we don't have the incredible catching ability of OBJ and Landry we'll have to mix it up more. sure, occasionally we'll throw on first or second down but no air war is happening.

sorry.

We will run right up the middle as much as we can and throw a playaction every now and then to show we can throw now.

Don't think anyone is expecting an air war or spread offense.

I'd be surprised if we put up less than 42 on McNeese. McNeese is a very good FCS team but Fournette alone could have 4-5 TDs on them. Harris will contribute 2-3 TDs I think in this one and we win 45-10. They are just outmatched everywhere, we arent Nebraska...

I'll predict 230 yards passing and 290 yards rushing.

So don't expect something we haven't seen before.

Got it.

Why wouldn't it look like last year's offense? Aren't all the skill positions back? Same QBs, same 1 and 2 HBs, same WRs...

I don't think anyone is expecting this. I would like the offense we had against A&M, but that won't happen until it's too late....if at all

I do not need to see a spread offense, I need to see an offense that can complete enough passes so that defenses need to be honest against the run. LSU can ever do that, they will win another national championship.

I don't want to see a spread offense. Power teams have won the most championships.

We know exactly what Les and Cam prefer. People are excited by the wealth of skill position players and improvement at QB.

NO ONE has stated that we are going to a spread offense and throw the fricking ball all over the place. You're seeing something that isn't there pops.

Hell I'm just excited that we cant possibly be as putrid on offense as we were last year.

I think keeping your hopes down because of your fears is a cowardly cop out.

You should wait and see like everyone else.
