Uncle Lester, let me guess you had to be one of the ones standing up for Les Miles at the end also, am I right?
Think about it, if we hadn’t of fired Les Miles we would have never had that 15-0 season you mentioned. Oregon can do something’s really well “recruiting” for example, but he has done something’s horrifically and that is hiring coordinators. Unfortunately his recruiting chops are overshadowed by his lack of ability to hire the right coordinators that develop those recruits and that is hurting the LSU program far more than the recruits are helping LSU’s program.
So you are willing to give the man more rope to hire more coordinators, do you even realize that Coach O has had more “offensive” coordinators - that number includes passing game coordinators, than years he has been the Head Coach at LSU.
At some point you have to hold the guy responsible for hiring these “failed” choices! And I will not give him more than 50% credit for the Brady hire, because the facts are Ensminger was the one who brought Brady to O and said we have to hire this guy.

He has proven, multiple times that he has no clue how to do this. He hires position coaches as coordinators. He forced a hesitant TE coach to be the OC.
The problem is that he is a DL coach, not a head coach. He was 16-27 as a head coach whn he was forced on us by an AD that was too lazy to conduct a legit search.
There is a reason nobody else wanted him.

I appreciate and respect your loyalty and faith. These are great qualities. Unfortunately if you want to be the man you gotta beat the man right? That means LSU has to put together the kind of program (not one team) that can consistently compete with and beat the top teams in the country. I just don't see that kind of football program at LSU. We have some potential in spots, but overall we are just not there and the trend is not going in the right direction. I think O has already hit his ceiling. What worries me is that we are going to get stuck in another Les Miles situation. He wins just enough to drag it out even though everyone knows it's just not going to come together. If they don't do it this year, we will be having the same conversation next year. And the next year.
