You don’t mention 2019 … possibly the greatest CFB team of all time . O-line awards , Burrow won the Heisman and every other damned trophy . Undefeated .

Kelly’s tenure will live or die with the 2025 recruiting class. Period. He’s pieced together a few guys here and there to go with the crap roster that Orgeron left us. He absolutely should get credit for bringing in one of the greatest players in LSU history in JD5. But now the team will start to really be all his players and so we will see what kind of coach he really is.

If we can’t start getting better talent and coaching on both sides of the ball in Year 4, he’s out of excuses imo.

He is the only coach alive ( save for Urban Meyer) who rehabbed 3
Teams. Kelly built cincinatti, fixed Notre Dame and had great success at grand valley state. I am guilty
Of it myself but he needs more time

So Miles and Orgeron had more talent and the teams "fought like hell", yet they were somehow winning fewer games than Kelly?

How does that work?

In Les's case, it was his stoopid pound & punt offensive philosophy. In Ed's case, his insistence on the attacking 4-man front and bad coordinator hires.

Saban, Miles and O won championships by year 3. Kelly is trying not to lose at least 3 games. Saban isn’t even a factor anymore, he’s not coaching.

Don’t we have the #2 LB in the country also? (He’s from Texas, switched his commit to Tigers; don’t make me have to go look up his name….

Saban won the NC in his fourth season (2003) as the HC at LSU.

2000 8-4
2001 10-3
2002 8-5
2003 13-1 (national championship)

Did you miss 20 and 21? And don't cite the bowl game with no quarterback because Nuss sat out. That was an interim HC.

He brings a level of stability that we lost under Coach O's final years. 10 wins isn't sexy to us but it puts us firmly in the Top 15/20 minimum. Which means with 12 and then 14 teams in the playoffs we're closer. Just need a coach who can be a killer on the sideline and a CEO of the program.

You guys don't understand how much money is bring tossed at this program.

Ed only coached 8 full seasons. He had THREE seasons with a winning record. In 8 seasons as a head coach, O had 1 great season, 2 decent seasons, and 5 dumpster fires.

Yo, I can show you an entire host of games where this was not the case. During their peak? Yes. But at the end of their tenure this was not the case lmfao.

Saban went 8-5 in his third year here.
