I never expected Lacy to be like Nabers or Chase

But I was definitely expecting more out of him this year.

He’s only had 2 games over 100 yards (OM and South Alabama). His statistics aren’t bad at all but not what we are used to from the LSU #1 WR. The eye test is also off on him as I constantly see him drop balls or quit on routes.

With all of this being said, LSU has got to reload the WR room this offseason. It may take the portal to do so. Will Aaron Anderson be returning?

He came out the gate strong to start the season. A lot of it probably has to do with Nuss’ collapse.

He was never him. He's a complementary receiver.

Why did anyone buy into the Lacy and Chris Hilton Jr hype? Lacy went to ULL for a reason and he has a shite attitude, and Hilton hasn’t ever done anything noteworthy in his career here, but you would’ve thought they were Jefferson and Chase 2.0 with the way people talked about them all offseason

Why? He was inconsistent and a bad route runner. No different than thinking Ryan, Burns, or Gilbert would be different.

I'm not sure why everyone was hyping him up. He's had his moments but I just don't see why everyone was expecting him to be the next great LSU wr. The announcers even called him one if the best wrs in the sec last game. He's solid but I just don't see everyone is hyping him up without him proving it on the field

I hope so. AA is the best WR on the team followed by CJ Daniels. Lacey has the athletic ability but he lacks the same level of football IQ like CJ Daniels and AA. There were two examples versus Florida where Lacey had brain farts. One did not hurt the team and the other had a TD called back. The first was not getting out of bounds upon a reception from Nuss before the half after the first step but Lacey eventually realized he had to get out and did on his second and third step. That mental lapse was minor and did not hurt the team. But he offensive pass interference was really hurtful. You don't square up and pick off the DB. You are going to get called for offensive pass interference every time. At least turn your shoulder and try to sell it like you trying to avoid contact with the crossing DB. Plus Lacey is always good for 2 drops a game.

Lacy’s hands and route running are suspect. He will still get drafted highly based on athletic ability though.

I’m surprised he’ll get drafted highly. He kinda became a “good WR” out of nowhere.

All he really did last year was consistently drop critical passes. And then this year the narrative out of the gate was “the next great WR at LSU”. That title needs to be earned, and with Lacy it never was. He was just an average WR3 behind Nabers and Thomas.

If he gets drafted highly, it will only be because of LSUs identity, not his

I see him getting drafted but struggling to stay off NFL practice squads. He's just too unreliable for the NFL right now. If he fixes his drops and somehow matures a little by not allowing his emotions to get the best of him he has a better chance of staying off NFL practice squads.

Lacey is a good SEC WR#2. If he had good hands. He could be a WR#1 but not a top 5 SEC WR#1.

Lacy is a buffoon, costly personal foul penalty in the USC game, drops tons of balls and then has a good game vs Ole Miss goes on IG live after acting like he is a combination of Jerry Rice and Randy Moss. AA is our best receiver by far and it may be because he started his career at AL not ULL

Lacy aint it. He's good enough for this year, but he couldn't catch a damn cold last year. He showed some signs of being him, but then it gets overshadowed by the absolute immaturity after a slight gain or a decent catch. And I'm using immaturity rather than another word. Just trying to be good on a Monday morning.

Great athlete, average receiver. Not a great route runner and bad hands.

Kyle Parker was about to break out. Believe it or not. Anderson has shown he’s the Alpha. Parker is the deep threat, CJ is the safety blanket. I pray Anderson comes back and shows everyone he’s a 1st round pick. What I can’t understand is why we are throwing jump balls to Hilton over Treydez. Kelly and Sloan are really wasting talent like Les Miles.
