Such horsehit LA isn’t a constitutional carry state.
Constitutional carry doesn’t make it legal to carry a gun in a bar, or while intoxicated.
Or, as it appears in this case, concealing a gun while drinking at a parade all day.

It is an open carry state. As long as you don't conceal a firearm you can carry on your hip.
And if you're not drinking.
If he was drinking while being strapped, he needs a smack or three.

The fact that the government requires me to have a fricking license in order to practice an already guaranteed right by the United States constitution pisses me off more than just about anything.
Nothing in the constitution grants you a right to carry a concealed weapon, or carry the weapon while drinking in public.

Donte Starks was either a. Hanging around people selling crack or b. Selling crack with a gun and also ran from cops when approached. If no other details come out this isnt the nearly the same.
Also, people keep bringing up Cam Robinson as another example. He was charged with felony illegal possession of stolen firearms and had weed in the car.
Nabors was charged with a misdemeanor with no bond so the charges probably wont stick with a decent judge.

Your right to being armed shall not be infringed on. Requiring a permit is infringement

Very true. I’m a huge proponent of personal protection and guns but he was 100% stupid to carry without a permit and underage. I may not agree with the laws but I damn sure wouldn’t risk millions of dollars to break it

The SCOTUS once ruled in favor of slavery.
They have become too political of late and have not always ruled correctly.

I wouldn’t consider 1897 recent. Regardless, it’s not unconstitutional.
The 2nd amendment does not apply to state law.

Remember what happened to Cam Robinson and the stolen gun they had in their possession while high AF?

He’s 19. So there are issues that come with that and handguns.
Also it’s illegal to even open carry at bars and such. So there aren’t a lot of situations during Mardis gras in Nola where I think a 19 year old would be carrying illegally.
Which are laws we all have and had to follow.

He needs to lay low and wait for the progressive city prosecutor to fail to file charges.
