He really didn't give a rat's arse who won the game. He just pumped some excitement into great plays. He was all over who was doing well. That was his job.
If Alabama did well he pumped them up. When LSU did well he pumped them up. It wasn't his job to be an LSU homer.

Verne's not biased. It's just immature fans who read the worst into every word he utters.
Seriously, he makes millions. Why would he jeopardize that by being blatantly biased for or against a particular team?
I stopped thinking the announcers hate us when I was about 15 years old. Maybe in a few years when the majority of this board gets to that age, we'll see less of this nonsense.
