I hate to say it, but I think it’s time to start looking for Dan Borne’s replacement

How much gas does Dan Borne’ have left in the tank? His touchdown calls have been pretty weak the past few years. We all have fond memories of the days when his mighty vocal cords would belt out a big “KEVIN FAULK…SCOOOOOOOOORRRRRREEEEEESSSSS!!!!!” that could be heard across South Louisiana, from Lake Charles to Pearl River; more recently though, it seems to be more of a reserved “Terrace Marshall scores”. Dan Borne’ is an all-time great and a Tiger legend, but it may be time to begin searching for the heir to his throne. Who should be the next Voice of Death Valley? My first choice would be Mario Jerez. What say tRant? I’ll hang up and listen.

I miss Sid Crocker and John Ferguson, Walter Hill too. They were the best.

Have I lost my mind or didn't Dan Borne retire like five years ago?
The last time I was in the stadium was when Fournette was helicoptering the Auburn secondary.

He was really sick last year and didn’t make all of the games. He’s since recovered and should be fine.

was just thinking the same thing. No one was as good as old Sid Crocker- talk about a distinctive booming voice- to me Dan Bourne’s has always been weak by comparison. Yep- call me an old man!

Geez, who else are we firing because of the Ucla loss? Maybe we should replace all of the workers at Tiger Stadium?

Sid Crocker's basketball introductions were legendary:

Aaaaaat Guarrrd a 6 foot junior from Baton Rooouge, Louisiiana Ethan Huuuuck Martin

Aaaat Guard a 6 foot five inch freshman from Baton Rouge Howarrrd Hi- CCCCCC Carter

Aaaaaat center a 6 foot 9 inch junior from Ro-selllle , New Jersey Greg " The Cookie Mannnnn " Cook

At forward a 6 foot 9 inch junior from Dallas, TX Dewaaaaaaaaaaayne the Astroooooooonaaaugghhttt Scales

At forward a 6 foot 7 inch junior from Loooeyville, Kentucky Durand Ruuuuuudy Macklin

And introducing the best 6th man in all of college basketball Willliiiiee Sims.

By this time the Assembly Center was electric, a snarling crowd was in a frenzy, and the name Deaf Dome did not really do it justice. The fantastic climb to the top was alive.

Biggest mistake of Borne’s career...

And I’m sure he was told to say it, but you’ve got to ignore that order...

2014 Alabama, LSU takes the 13-10 lead with 0:50 left in the game, and he said not once, but two different times for fans to stay off of the field after the game. Bama marches right down the field and ties the game only to beat us in OT.

He may be a powerful lobbyist for the O&G industry, but he absolutely takes the life out of the PMAC for basketball games, and has for years. The late Sid Crocker was the GOAT.
