Nobody wants equality now. The current PC word is equity. Equality means everyone is treated the same which is bad now. Equity means some people get help and others get held down so no one comes out ahead of anyone else. If you’re going to make a stupid liberal argument please keep up with the current terminology.

And frick equity. People with more talent or ability should be celebrated, not handicapped so lesser people feel better about themselves.

How can you trust a coach if you don’t feel like they care about you or your personal struggles? Seems pretty much like relationship 101 to me. Saban and a lot of other coaches understood this and got in front of the issue fast.

That’s true. If you see anyone actually doing that in 2020 please let us know.

Correct again, but it applies to everyone.

Good Lord, we as a program, a country, and a society are screwed if we give in to all this “I want to be heard” shite. Everyone can’t just “quit” cause they’re feelings are hurt.

That’s literally what the country was founded on. The colonists “quit” because they got mad about paying taxes to the king who fricking paid for them to be here.

Oh and they rioted and destroyed private property owned by a corporation.

Sound familiar?

Then quit. Leave, resign, or transfer. But don’t hang around and pout or put forth shitty effort cause you’re feelings are hurt. You either put that shite aside and perform giving it 100% or you don’t participate.
But you can’t do both.

And you have to learn to put the personal feelings aside if you’re gonna make it in this life. Otherwise you’re gonna spend your life offended, hurt, and pissed off. Life’s too short for that.

None of these players are playing poorly (and jeopardizing their chance to make millions) because they are mad at Orgeron over political shite.

You may be right, But it seems to be a popular theory. Now if you want to clean house on the coaching staff, say so. I won’t necessarily argue with it.

Standing up for equality is not a political issue.

He should have just supported his players without acknowledging trump.

Gee, that doesn’t sound political at all......

And where is it written that everyone has to be heard and listened to? WTF is that shite? Again, there is no right or obligation to be heard. That’s something you earn if it’s possible.

Every single companies HR handbook everywhere. I can’t tell if y’all have never worked before, but you’d be hard pressed to find a company whose policy is that you have to earn the right to be heard. And while usually talking politics is discouraged, I doubt you’d find a single company who would have a policy to ignore an employee expressing their personal experiences with racism. This is like HR 101.

There were several that trusted him. Many three star players are millionaires as a result.
We all were fortunate, 15-0.
The group that demanded equity aren't really making themselves or us proud.
Wonder if their perceived attitude will affect their draft status.

The fact that this is still an issue is so stupid. Regardless of your politics or O’s politics, if it’s important to your players then make them believe it is important to you too. I’ve never heard Saban speak a word about his politics or beliefs but when it came time for him to show up and stand in front of his team because something mattered to them, he did it because that’s how you lead and that’s how you get people to follow you. Case in point look at their team and look at ours. I’m sure there are other things in play but I know I’ve never even heard a whisper of Alabama’s team quit on that dude. “One team one heartbeat unless it’s politics and then make sure you make your beliefs heard even if they disenfranchise your players” is hard to get behind.

What exactly Was O supposed to do? How did he not show players support. Was he supposed to burn down a target to show his support?

The BLM stuff was a lose-lose if there ever was one.

What O did was one of the few things he did right since we won it all.

BLM looted and rioted to show support for an imaginary cause. That O didn’t do that is apparently an issue now.
