Fact is fact...DGB...lmao just doesnt cut it. Notre Dame has more money and prestige that LSU can only dream about and that is fact. Notre Dame could have paid Brian Kelly's buyout without eve4n thinking about it but you LSU fans were crying about it.

Interesting observation. Seems like that ND education isn’t that great (jk you’re probably a sidewalk fan from New Jersey that grew up Catholic). We stole your coach because he wasn’t provided the resources at ND, and he hired your current coach. Then at the snap of a finger they found the money after a meeting got heated. Pretty sure money isn’t a problem down here

Bama and Ohio State I’ll give you

Suggesting that Michigan, Notre Dame, or USC is a better job than LSU is wild. That hasn’t been the case for 20 years

Notre Dame with 11 National Championships....LSU with 4. Notre Dame with their own major network. LSU with none. Its not rocket science. It doesnt matter how long its been since Notre Dame has won a title...they are considered one of the premier jobs....that is fact. Just like Alabama...they only won 1 title in 30 years before Saban arrived and he took that job because of their storied tradition....again that it fact.

Not sure if you meant that to be hyperbolic, but when Saban was hired in 2007 it had not been 30 years since Bama had won a title. Their last national title at that point was in ‘92, and their last SEC title was ‘99. What made coaching at Bama difficult was the probation BS.

But I do agree overall that branding with storied programs goes a long way. With ND they’ve been respected solely because of that history, and there’s also pop culture reputation from films like Rudy, for instance. I remember Urban Meyer once saying ND was his dream coaching job (dude was also Catholic, so I’m sure that played into it).

I would really like to see LSU find a coach that genuinely fits their program. I think while Lane seems like the flashier, obvious choice, being trigger happy and putting all chips on him would be a mistake. There’s got to be a better fit out there for better longterm results, Lane is too much of a gimmicky pick.

Nope, Touchdown...you won 1 National in 30 years before Saban arrived....that is fact. Is an Sec Title a National title....yes or no? Saban went to Alabama because of the tradition...again that is fact since he said it when he got hired.

Just to put this in perspective...since Clemson has won two titles and LSU only 1 in the last 20 years....can we then say Clemson is the bigger and better coaching job?...or how about Auburn?...they've won the same amount of titles as LSU in the last 15 years....can we say their head coaching job is just as big as LSU's?

Incorrect. Notre Dame has NBC. LSU has ABC/ESPN…. And you’re claiming that as a “win”? lol. Might want to take a peek at the ratings.

Yes lateral...LSU is below Ohio State, Texas, Alabama, Notre Dame, MIchigan...when it comes to top college football jobs.

LSU's natural recruiting footprint is better than everyone on that list save TX and maybe tOSU. And maybe UGA.

I don’t like the Kiffin choice. Certainly he would probably be an improvement, but you’d have to pay him $12 million per year with 10 guaranteed, and just at the end of last year he was viewed as mid.

He would be very entertaining, though.

Just because Kiffin is our first choice, doesn't mean we are his.

This!!!!

That it might not be Sumrall is reasonable.

But that it has to be Kiffin is laughable.

What if Kiffin just doesn’t wanna come to Baton Rouge?

Who did your “tied in” person say it might be if it wasn’t Kiffin? Otherwise, this post means nothing.

And 4 seasons from now, we’ll be calling for his head too. Ryan Day or bust.

What a dumbfrick.

It’s amazing people have access to the internet that provides them google, wiki and other sources of instantaneous information and they still are too fricking stupid to get facts correct.

What has Kiffin done as a head coach at power 5 schools that makes all y’all think he’s going to come here and just dominate? All he’s done is jump ship from one school to the next before he gets fired or he gets a better deal.

Tremendous offensive mind. No doubt.

Not to mention, if you hated Kelly’s contract, wait til you see what money we’d have to throw at him to get him here.
