People are just tired of the incessant fawning over Wade as though he was spotless in the whole debacle at the end of his tenure.
There are true fans on both sides of this argument and many in the middle as well (that is where I consider you and I, though probably with slightly different leans).
I am not sure why McMahon is being retained but I doubt he last another season without a dramatic turnaround. I also do not believe that Woodward kept McMahon without there being some support behind the scenes, maybe even some pressure to do so from very influential backers. But that is just speculation on my part.

True LSU fans don't support the current program because they are stuck in 2022 and have WW's cork buried so deep in their throats they can't cheer for their Tigers. Every loss is celebrated as some sort of "gotcha' moment on message boards. True LSU fans are excited about McNeese's NCAA trip for that very reason.

And who took LSU to four straight tournament birth something that hasn’t been done since the Dale Brown days?Wow solid shite talk why don’t you talk about our coach? I was speaking more to the OP types, never talks actual LSU MBB, but interjects Wade shite all the time.
I fully expect McNeese to lose today, so once the board spamming with rejoice dies down, things will quiet down.
The problem right now is Wade just got a new job, NCAAT starts today, so even though this shite has been discussed ad nauseam on TD, CBB is entering its prime viewership. If it was May or June, you wouldn’t hear much.

It’s hypocritical for the “McLosers” to lament all the WW threads started by the”Wade Nut Huggers,” to use both side’s derogatory terms. Then they start doing the exact same thing, perpetuating the arguments. I think they actually like it.
I’m just rooting for LSU basketball to succeed. Especially the players. I know they don’t enjoy losing any more than the fans

lol…true, but I don’t think we can count that one seeing as he had to watch his team advance from his couch due to…what was it…oh yeah…being suspended.
He was the absolute BEST suspended coach to watch his team from the couch that year! It’s a real head-scratcher that LSU fired his arse for cause!
