She’s leaving because at the position she plays, we have Flau’jae, who is leaps and bounds better.
Quicker, faster, more consistent shooting, can drive with strength.

Hailey looked out of her depth against the best. I applaud the effort, but the skill is not there to be a PG in the SEC.

you could see this coming from a mile away. The plan was for HVL to come to LSU to be an elite PG(which would catapult her stock in the WNBA) and win a national championship. Obviously neither happened. Some times things just dont work out. Lots of reasons on why it failed. First off, I think Hailey had massive culture shock and didnt fit in as well with the team as she thought she would. Second, for whatever reason her skill set didnt translate well to PG. This also killed her confidence IMO which led to her overall game just regressing. I watched Hailey a lot at Louisville and she just didnt even look like the same person. She is a much better player than what she showed at LSU. I will say even though her production went down, she played her arse off every single night for LSU. And I respect the hell out of her for getting out of her comfort zone and taking a chance to try and be great. I wonder if LSU told her she was going to be coming off the bench next year and thats why shes transferring. But she will find a better situation and land on her feet. I do however think this was a realty check for her in the way that she needs to start looking for another career beyond college basketball. Because I dont see her making it at the next level. Good Luck Hailey.

Probably because of the grief she got from Tiger Rant.

Surely you jest? College athelete is hitting the portal because a message board has some butt clowns that love to shite on someone that doesn't play to their standards. C'mon now.

yup, the inconsistency while trying to learn a new position was a hinderance to the offense. nothing against HVL though. Wish her the best wherever she lands next.

She doesn’t have to leave. She may but it’s not over unless km asked her to.

No not really. There was tension present there for a while. I think she grew more accepted later in the season but it didn’t seem like she wanted to be in BR.

I agree. But I think it had more to do with the team not really liking her as much than it did with her not wanting to be in BR. The team had serious culture problems to start the year with Poole getting kicked off and Angel sitting out two weeks. They wouldnt pass her the ball for like the first quarter of the year. It took Mulkey punishing players and losses for them to realize they had to come together.

I agree here too. Also Mulkey's talent evaluation was off as well. Hailey was too slow to be an elite PG. Then when her shot fell off it turned into a disaster. And bet Mulkey would tell you over a few drinks that she missed the boat on this one.

Probably for the best of all involved. I was rooting for her though. Maybe somewhere with less pressure?

I honestly think she was told to move on
Jr.

I seriously doubt this.

I think hvl wants to go somewhere next year where she will be a star again and not come off the court.

Don't think she liked being taken off the court for poa. You could see it all over her face.

Mulkey would love to have her back

Sounds like you’re blaming the other players for her decision. You are a classic troll.

From the beginning, she was not really a fit, especially at PG. It seemed to me that she was not totally accepted by some of her teammates. I honestly believe that the suspensions and dismissal early season was because of lockerroom disruption stemming from that. We may never know. I applaud her for playing her arse off every game and I wish her all the best as she mo es on.

Hopefully she goes off and plays a bit and we see her back on our court as an assistant coach.. she certainly has the work ethics and people skills…

Hailey fit in fine with the team, it was some of you fricking assholes on this board and other social media whom she found intolerable. The relentless desire to villainize athletes and coaches on this board is off the charts. So congratulations, some of you got what you wanted. If only we could stick your sorry asses in the transfer portal and send you away. Presumably you are Tiger fans, and if so you need to seriously reflect on your behavior toward coaches and players. You may think its all cute and funny but it is going to have an effect on players wanting to come here if they are going to be ridiculed and insulted by their own base. I don't want to hear n shite that these are compensated college athletes and they should be able to take the criticism. Commenting that someone didn't play well is fine, but the constant personal attacks and over the top comments are out of control and hopefully the administrations starts banning some of you,

While I agree, it’s part of having such a tremendous forum.

Tons of trolls & many aren’t LSU fans

I wish her well wherever she transfers to.

I do agree she is not what LSU needed or needs.
