So far the following reasons have been mentioned in this thread for why she is leaving:

The team hated her.
Mulkey told her to leave.
Tigerdroppings/social media hurt her feelings.
She wasnt going to start next year.
She never was a good fit.

Did I miss any?

No not really. There was tension present there for a while. I think she grew more accepted later in the season but it didn’t seem like she wanted to be in BR.

Completely agree. I’m going to call a spade a spade and say that black girls from BR were never going to take to some blonde white girl from a 0.5% black town in Washington who tries way too hard to act hood. I’m sure the board isn’t going to like that but there was absolutely an issue with her personality and demeanor not fitting in well with the team. I think Kim saw herself in Van Lith’s game but didn’t realize that Van Lith never had the realness or personality that allowed Kim to succeed in that environment

Where are you getting this from? I remember LSU players actively recruiting her.

They were because they knew she was a good player and the coaching staff wanted her. But that doesnt mean they actually KNEW HER. If that makes sense.

If lsu gets the pg from mich st they are a final 4 team again next year

HVL would’ve been the 4th option next year. She isn’t better than 4 or Mikayla

It was best for her to just move on. You have to be a certain type of dog to start at lsu for Kim and she just wasn’t that

No, the part that you don’t know what the hell you’re talking about. She didn’t win a national championship.

Im probably going to say some things too that the board might not like either. But it was Angel Reese's job to make sure the team accepted Hailey and had an easy transition. Why? Because she is the team leader. Id imagine Hailey did a poor job of winning the team over too because Angel probably didnt value her that much. I dunno the details are hard to figure out because youre not in the locker room everyday. Wish I was lol. Im starting to believe the rumor about Angel wanting Poole to be the starting PG is true because they are best friends and Morrow didnt have this problem at all fitting in. Hailey's confidence was shattered by mid season so even though it got better at the end of the year it was too little too late for Hailey to turn it around.

Was never allowed to fit and take advantage of her outside shooting from first day. Most of the time she would bring ball down and bam she never got it back. She passed on high percentage shots only to pass to someone else by design from what I watched. Under utilized from day. I knew she would enter portal, why go through that again. Someone else will use her talent.

I doubt that will happen--I don't think she left there on great terms.

She's a good enough player (2x 1st team All-ACC, honorable mention All-America) as to where *maybe* Louisville's head coach (Coach Walz) could get past it and look to bring her back? If I was him I'd at least consider it, regardless of how she left.

shes going to transfer to a team, where she can start at the 2 and win a national title. Winning a national title is the only thing left for Hailey to accomplish. Not sure who that team is though.

She shot 37% from 3

Let’s just face it, she wasn’t that good.

Yeah she avg 20 at Louisville but anyone in lsu’s starting 5 would’ve avg 20 at Louisville as the go to player

HVL wasted over a decade of her life perfecting her SG skills, instead of PG skills. Unfortunately for her, at 5'7", PG is the only position she can play in the WNBA.

Depite her storied work ethic & determination, getting only one year of on-the-job PG training and being a 5th-option scorer only further exposed her lack of quickness/acceleration, clunky ball-handling & inaccurate passing, without being able to distract crowds with 20ppg production away from those weaknesses.

Wish her the best, but her dream of being a starting PG in the WNBA someday just isn't realistic. It's apparent to everyone, but HVL, that it's too late.
