This team will NOT lose more than one game, if that, 18 starters back with tons of experience, Heisman Trophy RB, WR group taller than most basketball teams, highest paid staff in the country, tougher games at home, 11-1 worst case.

I expect 2 losses. I am a realist. And it doesn't matter if I am disappointed or not because my feelings won't change anything about the program

If 10-2 wins the west and puts LSU in the SEC title game with a chance to make the playoffs, that would be one heck of a season.

I would be happy with anything that won the SEC, or even just the west at this point.

How did we lose?

Were they competitive games? Or were they blow outs?

Did we lose early, but finish strong? Or finish with a wimper in November?

Win SOMETHING. Win the West/SEC...make the playoffs. I'm not one of these pumpers who snaps their carrot over 10 empty wins without any hardware.

Now, if we somehow pull off a "reverse '11"...meaning somehow both LSU and BAMA go 11-1 reg season with our loss being to BAMA. They win the West/SEC but we receive an at large playoff bid with the chance to bust their asses there in a rematch, obviously I'll be ok with that scenario.

Not if both loses are in the SECW. No way 2 other teams in the division take down Bama.

I'm ok with 10-2 and those losses ONLY if it also results in an SEC championship and playoff berth.

The odds are very long that LSU could absorb to intra-division losses and win the West. Has that ever even happened outside of maybe when Alabama was on probation in 2001?

Last second FG to Bama. Arky whips our arse again like 28-13.

Les needs an SEC championship. However he gets there doesn't matter to me.

Frankly one of the main things I want out of this season is to just kick the snot out of Arky. Like 60-3.

Honestly, not too great. I wouldn't be surprised, but with:

-9 coming back on offense
-9 coming back on defense
-Arguably the best player in the country at RB
-Alabama and Ole Miss coming to Death Valley...

If not now, when?

It's all about winning the SEC and making the playoff. Sure, I'd like us to go 12-0, but in reality I just want us to get to Atlanta and win the SECCG. That should put us in the playoff.

Unfortunately, 2 conference losses to Bama and Arky means each of them would likely need to lose 3 conference games for us to win the West. That's very unlikely. So 10-2 in this scenario leaves us out in the cold.

Follow up question what if this team goes 15-0 and wins the NC. Do people finally give Les the credit he deserves and admit they were wrong?

15-0 with a national championship, I could give two shits what anyone gives or admits.

To answer your question, there will always be people who complain. We could go 15-0 and people will bitch about the margin of victory.

I admit I'm a nega-tiger and sure, we may bitch and moan about our performance along the way, but no rational human being would complain about 15-0 and a NC.
