LSU fans on TD: "We're laughing at Ole Miss because they wouldn't allow Kiffin to coach Ole Miss"

Also LSU fans TD:

Wilson should be suspended until his official hire date at Ole Miss.

Ten years ago, I doubt we would see this. But in today's world, I think both head coaches (LSU/UM) realize that players don't pick schools because of personalities on the staff. None of the assistants are poaching anything, that happens when the checkbooks come out.

Is it really this hard for y'all that we need 100 threads questioning it? He's the interim coach 10 days before a bowl game that nobody gives a shite about.

He's taking a position coach job because Lane doesn't have a spot for him.

Who gives a shite about Frank coaching a meaningless bowl game.

Agreements in place and consistency. They already had an interim Coach they're not going to have another interim and Lane isn't going to Coach the team for the bowl game.

Its really not that big of a deal. And I don't think there is as much truth to the rumors about him anti-recruiting against LSU as what was reported/rumored.

Sure it is, won't argue that. But for some it'll be the last time they ever put on pads for competitive football. Anyone that has played significantly even for high school understands that. It means something. So meaningless for some of our stars, so put in the guys that never got to play a snap. Let them enjoy a bowl experience.

sorry, but this bowl game is utterly meaningless.

It'll be played by players (many of whom will be gone next year) under the prior staff's schemes and under many of the prior staff.

Next year, we'll have a new head coach who will have a new staff, new schemes, and new players.

And we're 7-5 playing in a lower-tier bowl game.

It's meaningless.

He’s not bolting. He isn’t being retained by Kiffin. Do you understand the difference? What do you expect him to do?

I’m continually amazed by the fact that so many think money has completely wiped out the emotions and relationship side of sports. Yes money talks. Yes he is contracted through the bowl game. I’m sure he was told that he wouldn’t be retained already. It takes integrity to keep coaching a team that you know you won’t be returning to next season. It’s not just money, it can be all of the above.

Tell that to the players. Every down, snap, tackle, pass, catch and run means something to them. And for a few, it'll be the last time in their life doing it.

Don’t really care. Season is basically over and it’s a bowl game.

of course this bowl game means something to some of the players.

But more broadly, this game is meaningless for the LSU football program as a whole. Whether we win by 30 or lose by 30, it won't have any impact moving forward.

(And I also suspect that many of the players think this is a shitty and meaningless bowl game too. Not all of them, of course, but a sizeable percentage realize what this game is, and isn't).

Yeah. Because who on an LSU football forum would want to watch/attend an LSU football game.
