How much does a ball have to be tipped for it to be tipped?

Wingo clearly got a couple of fingers on the ball. It’s like the officials said “yeah but the ball didn’t change flight so it wasn’t tipped.”

The ball is tipped if it’s touched. I’m glad LSU won because there is a pile of shite calls a mile high from last night.

It has to be 80% tipped.

It was ruled the ball last night was only 78.3% tipped.

We might not like it, but it was the correct call.

He got his whole hand on it and deflected it to the other side of the field.

It depends on what the score is and the teams involved. Obviously.

Yeah I guess the “rules are the rules” cough cough fumble out of bounds until they’re not the rules cough cough finger didn’t touch the ball on PI call.

Seriously I hope those refs get canned that’s some blatant cheating bs

This is an undisputable fact based on video evidence. We all saw it...

He definitely grazed it but didn't alter the ball. Not enough to turn over

Depends on the Ref and who is playing. I’ve always used to say just the tip is ok, apparently the ref used that one too.

Depends on which team is tipping the ball.

Stetson Bennett would have tipped it $10 at most.

I was watching on a 70" HD television, and I couldn't be certain. I'm as biased as they come, and I did not see enough evidence to turn a call over.

Maybe my vision is waning...

One of the many terrible calls wasthe ref gifting Bama a first down by spotting the ball almost 2 entire yards past where he was tackled. Lucky it was reversed, and didn't end up being much of anything. But that was really really bad.

I could see all the way from 243 that it was tipped and the trajectory changed by a yard or so. The angles shown on tv were terrible angles and made it appear it wasn’t tipped at all. Believe me, it was tipped and definitely went off course by a yard or so.

Depends on the teams playing and which would benefit from which interpretation.

It is. It was more evident that the ball moved his finger than his finger moving the ball. It was clear that the ball and finger contacted each other.

The ball has to change trajectory and reverse course and fly back to the QB. The ball then also needs to wave in fair catch motion to let everyone know it was tipped.

The ball was tipped. Every person on the field knew it. But the biased refs weren’t going to call that LSU’s way
