How loud was it yesterday compared to other big games?

Like Georgia '03, Florida '07, Bama '12. It was only my second game there in 30 years. It seemed loud to me, but I have no real frame of reference.

It was definitely a notch or two below UF 07 and Bama in 2012. I wasn't at UGA in 03 so I can't say. It was one of the louder 2:30 games I remember, but it still didn't compare to some of our bigger night games.

Pretty darn loud. Bama though, is nonstop. Literally 90-100+dB all freaking game.

The Tulane game in '84 that ended in a bench-clearing Greenwave butt whoopin was the loudest I have personally experienced. I couldn't hear myself screaming.

It sounded great on TV when UGA went 3 and out following the fake FG fail.

It seemed like that was when the fans sensed blood in the water, and they didn't let up.

It was loud. But it has been much louder in the past. It would have helped if 10,000 season ticket holders had not sold their tickets to UGA fans.

Agree with this assessment. It seemed like everyone was in wait & see mode at the beginning, and then it got really loud from the fake FG on.

Bama 2012 was insane. If we beat State next week I expect it to match that. I think being a night game makes all the difference.

It was loud, but Florida 07 was definitely louder.

The night game makes a big difference

Guess night games at TS are as we say a different animal. I just hope they got an idea of who we are at home. And they won’t soon forget. Auburn 2007 was loud when we almost lost due to Miles game clock MGMT. And Flyy threw last plat in end zone to Demetrius Byrd. All we needed to win was a FG but Miles had no idea that was our last play. I was there and almost passed out when I realized Byrd caught that pass with Defender all over him. Miracle play to me.

The earthquake (Aub) game and Florida 1997 were louder than Saturday.

Don’t really think Saturday would be in the top 5

Not touching 03 Georgia or 07 Florida, but was pretty loud throughout.

Comparable to 05 Auburn or 05 Florida

It was loud, but not the loudest. There were a couple of things working against that:

It was a 2:30 game

The crowd was 20% Georgia fans

I was at all those games. I was also at Florida in 97 and Tennessee in 2000

So I’d say louder than that 2000 Tennessee game but not as loud as the others.

There were moments when it was incredibly loud but then there would be a lull after the play.

In those other games you listed it felt like there was never a lull. Just a constant roar

Being part of that LSU chant in the student section in the 4th quarter against UGA in 2003 and the announcement of the USC loss against Florida in 07 are my top two favorite experiences in Death Valley.
