15+ years hopefully. I like the hell out of Les. We need to stand behind him, and keep him here.

I think this whole thread is funny, given the threads that were being posted between the Arkansas game and the GT game.

I truly believe that before Miles came here, he thought the Big 10 was the best football conference. Then we he came here he found out other wise and ALSO realized that the best HS football is played in the south and that they want to stay in the South and was intrigued by that and decided to stay here.

I hope Coach Miles stays at LSU for many years. I thought that only Michigan or Notre Dame might lure him in a few years, but he makes a great fit at LSU and I'm all for it as long as he has the passion to be an LSU man.

I met him 2, and I really like him. I can see how recruits want to play for him. He is a guy's guy.

The other point I'm trying to make is that in recent history, THE ONLY REASON we have coaching changes, other than Saban, is due to firings or retirement. That is a very promising fact about our university and I'm proud of it.

Let's be honest here, that has more to do with the fact that nobody wanted most of our previous coaches. Brady, Laval, DiNardo, Hallman, and Archer are our coaches of recent history.

when saban left the coaching job was in the pro's and for twice his pay and not to another college.

This is why I wouldn't mind if Saban came back, every decision he made was a business decision and you can't blame a guy for making a decision towards bettering his family, you just can't.

dude, he was gone last season until Herbstreit leaked his info.

do you think it pissed him off so bad that he decided to stay - so if espn doesn't report this he leaves?

Well he's probably not leaving. He'll either finish here or have a bad run and be replaced.

What's the alternative?

NFL? Does not seem like and NFL coach and has never been mentioned as being on the radar screen for any NFL HC job.

Other colleges? Michigan was the obvious possibility, but apparently bad blood has set in. RR will be successful there, but even if he were not, don't beleive LM will be a candidate again.

I could be wrong, but I see Les as a long termer if successful or a former coach if not.

i have to agree that if les left for another coaching job and saban wanted to come back i would welcome him back in a second. i also believe he likes being at bama but would rather be at lsu. saban built lsu's football program which was shite for years prior to his hire and put lsu back in the national spot light. he went to what he thought was better job with twice the pay and found out it wasn't . he openly admitted he made a mistake leaving lsu. he took the bama job not to get back at us but because they offered him more money than any college coaching position. show me what was wrong with that. if you could increase your salary by a 50% increase you would do the same thing.
