if we have anymore 7-5 seasons it might not be long but les knows this and will repair the problems. look at the coaching changes and look at the recruiting. i believe we won't see that type of season again. myles will leave when he wants to and on his on terms.

You can hold a babyass grudge as long as you want, but if Miles leaves and Saban wants to come back, only a total idiot would not want him back.
He lives just south of tuscaloser if you want to go and give him a smoker.

dude, he was gone last season until Herbstreit leaked his info.
this is true.
he had actually told the team this the night before.
Yea, right after he danced around the lockeroom wearing a cobra around his neck. Look sonnyboy, if you are going to try and lie to everyone, at least try to say something that is within the realm of reason. Saying stupid crap like that only makes people laugh at you.

Facts:
Miles did not tell the team he was going to Michigan. Whoever it was that posted that is an idiot. O'Keefe was the guy who told Les to announce his intentions at the press conference (after Herbstreit reported he was leaving) before the SEC championship while Mile's new contract was being drawn up. FACT!
The longer Miles stays at LSU, the more "connection" he has to LSU over Michigan. He's already been at LSU for 4 years....how long was his stay at Michigan?
Saban did not move to the Dolphins for money or family. Saban went to the Dolphins because of control and ego. He had "his" perfect situation when he was hired as the Phins coach. He was total dictator over the whole organization, which is EXACTLY what he wanted. This had nothing to do with the "for the better of my family" crap. His family did not want to leave BR under any circumstances. If you believe otherwise, I'll sell you some beachfront property in Nebraska.
Saban loves noone or nothing but himself.
His situation in Bama is gonna blow up sooner or later. Saban does not like being compared to ANYONE.....and as long as he's there, he will be compared to the Bear.
Bama can keep the a-hole.
FEAR THE HAT

I think Les will make to UM one of these days. I think he'd like to retire there. IMO, he didn't want to be the guy to follow Loyd Carr and figured he could get a few really good years here.

Basically as long as he wants to.....or until he looses 5 more games as ugly as the ones this year!

I think if RR fails at Mich and that is possible, Les will go this time. but by this time Saban, who is very fond of BR might wanna come back, what do you think, you forgive him?
Yes I would do this. Forget that she broke up with you a couple years ago, the pussy is still good.....

i believe he will coach here until michigan comes calling again. i Really like les but you have to believe michigan will come calling again one day.

I don't see Miles leaving. I think Miles is one of those people that know better than to screw up a good thing. He's the 3rd (?) highest paid coach in the country here. He has brand new facilities, and he has some of the best athletes in the country IN STATE for recruiting year in and year out. That being said, I really don't want Saban. For some reason he has a hard time getting his teams up for Bowl games. Give me an up and comer like Kyle Wittingham, Chris Peterson or someone along those lines.

I think Arnsbargar went to Florida as AD. Then went back to the pro ranks as a defensive coach.

We have all heard this a lot, but am I the only one who thinks this make no sense at all? If he wanted to go there, he would have gone...leaked info or not.

I live here in Michigan and the guy next door is good friends with Les and he told me Les is ready to come back to Michigan. He to me if LSU wouldn't have won last year he would have been back in MI because his heart is here in the North.

I would just as soon let Miles hang around for awhile. He has been successful as a coach, and he does appear to be a great person. I don't see Saban coming back. Besides when the day comes for les to hang it up, there will be another small crop of up and coming greats. we'll be ok. For now, let's just enjoy the moment.

quote:It wouldn't. That is just a lame, and tired, bullshite line thrown out by people looking for a reason to tear down Miles image.
why would it matter if it was leaked or not?
Herbstreit's report as bullshite, and more importantly it changed absolutely nothing. If anyone looks at the situation objectively, they would realize this:
1) Michigan had obviously already made whatever attempts it was going to make to get Miles' interest
2) Miles obviously knew that Michigan was/would be interested in him before any contact was made with anyone (just like everyone else in the known universe had known it since the Michigan/Appy State fiasco)
3) Knowing this, Miles would already have known what he was going to do before the day of the SEC Championship Game
4) A man who was going to leave LSU and had already accepted an offer to Michigan would have zero incentive to call a press conference specifically to lie about such a report
5) A man who was wanted to leave LSU and didn't already have an offer would have even less incentive to hold such a press conference
There is no rational, objective interpretation of the known facts that support the contention that Miles wanted to, much less had already agreed to, take the Michigan job.
