How Is LSU Going to Beat UCF? This has "trap bowl game" written all over it.

I'm sure you've already down voted me, but this very much seems like a game that we can easily lose. UCF has a good team, a 25 game winning streak, they get no credit, are playing in the Fiesta Bowl, and don't see it as a nothing game.
LSU has everything to lose prestige wise and little to gain. This seems tailor made to be the kind of game we go in flat on and lose.
So, how do we win?
Establish the running game. Pound them from the beginning. If we start driving the ball through the run, they get on their heels and we out physical them from the outset. It changes the mindset.
Establish a pass rush from the beginning. If we can get after the QB, that will throw them off balance.
I know those two things are basic to winning football, but they seem to be needed for this game not just to establish physical dominance, but to get our heads right from the beginning - and to get into their's.
We're more talented, but that talent has to come together and be focused. If we break of a few decent runs at the start of the game, it will set the tone moreso than just throwing the ball downfield will.

It's a bowl game. The term "trap game" has jumped the shark.

Don't tell their delusional fans that. They seem to think this matchup is below them.

All I’m gonna do is grill burgers and drink old #7 on New Years wondering why we aren’t in the Cotton Bowl.

There has been a thread created for literally every single game this season, except for Bama and Georgia, claiming it was a trap game. Give it a damn rest with this crap already.

If I were a bettin' man I would probably go with UCF to be honest. I just don't think LSU is going to play inspired football, and UCF has everything to prove.

It's been our only option because outside of UGA and some against AU, we certainly haven't been winning games by scheming.
I swear, Ensminger could win over some people by calling a game with passion, energy, and trusting his players to make a damn play. He calls plays like he's in a coma and I really think the players respond to that.

If a bowl game is a trap game the coach (Saban against Iowa) or players (Bama against Utah) have checked out for the year.

UCF tends to give up yards on the ground. In bunches.
